Is it possible to pick up both of these on the same day, or maybe get AP on day one and DDE card on day 2?

I am going next Friday and since it is too late to get by mail thought maybe I could get everything there.

10 days and counting! :cool1:

Well, you can order an AP online or over the phone with plans to pick that up and then use your confirmation number to call the DDE phone line. It's a rather complicated process. When we called the DDE line, I recall we needed a number that started with a "W." I'd recommend calling them first and asking specifically what you need from the AP people. Then you can pick both up at Epcot Guest Services when you arrive. That's what we did on our trip earlier this month.

In June we had to wait until we got there and had our APs in hand. Got there, ran over to Epcot (we had a car), got the APs. In the car, we called DDE and ordered our DDE card, then had to go back that same day AFTER 5 to pick that up. We were NOT allowed to order the DDE before we had our AP numbers in hand, and I couldn't get that until we got there...even though we ordered our APs many weeks prior.

We went this past June and here is what I did:

When we arrived at the Orlando airport, I went to the Disney store there inside the airport and bought my Annual Pass. I then called DDE and ordered the card. I was told I could pick it up at Guest Relations at the entrance to Epcot after 5:00 p.m.

Edit to add: I received my DDE card in the mail about 5 weeks after returning from vacation. It is good through 7/31/06.

Me too and mine too. It is good for about 13.5 months.

They can send your AP voucher priority mail and you would have it in 2-3 days and then you can order your DDE.

I got an AP, called for the DDE and picked up the temp card from Epcot later the same day (after 5)

Is there a guest services at the International Gateway Entrance where I can pick up my DDE? I'll be arriving around 3:00PM next Friday and planning to eat at Cape May Cafe. Was hoping I could go over to the International Gateway entrance to pick up my DDE rather thatn the Future World entrance.

:confused3

There may be a guest services at the Gateway, but the only place to pick up the card is in the front .. sorry.

Thanks for all the help. It seems since I am a Florida Resident, I will probably have to wait and do everything as soon as I get there. :smooth:

So it sounds to me like the best plan, in order to have a valid DDE card for the longest period of time is to call and order it when you get to Orlando? I am going both this January and next January (and every January from now on if I have any say in it!) and I really want it to be valid for two trip. I know this has probably been posted before, but what is the DDE number? We are staying at the Beach Club, so when our flight arrives I could just call DDE and order the card using the number on my AP then walk over to Epcot and get it some time after 5? Thanks!

We're also doing the January routine!

We have AP vouchers and last month I called to order the DDE card. The CM asked when we were going to WDW and advised me to wait until the second week in December to order the DDE card and that it would then expire at the END of January 2007 and the card should arrive in time for our departure (1/11).

The passholder DDE phone number is (407) 566-5858 and their lines are open 9-5 M-F.
