Did anyone upgrade to this?

Do you like it?

I know a lot of people dont like AOL at all, but since its free, I just like what I am used to.

Somehow my AOL program wont work and I had to download it again, but its an older version. I cant find how to get the edition I had before, the only upgrade is to open ride.

So is it any good?

Thanks

why do you still use AOL?

I know most people dont like it, but I do. I like the home page and the toolbar. Its what I am used to and really dont have any issues with them, besides now its free anyway.

I was just curious if anyone has tried the new upgrade.

Thanks

I'm happy you like it's performance, but it's one of the biggest security leaks you can install on a PC, along with IE. it's so deep in your hard drive and registry it's kind of scary. firefox and opera are both free, why not try one of them?

I didnt know anything about that.

Thanks, I will check those 2 out.

OP, you aren't alone. I still use it, because I like it. (But DH uses something else. ) And ALOT of people I know still use it. And, yes, we've all switched to free. :thumbsup2

Now, I'll be helpful & try to answer your question. Have you looked around at stores for those free CD's they have everywhere? I wonder what versions those would be? Obviously sounds like you don't have an old CD around to install from, huh? When you get your hands on a CD this time, hang onto it. Or if you get a download version, copy it for backup purposes.

People are always calling DH to use our copy.

What version did you have? I'll look around & see if we have any extras & I could mail you one if you can't find one in a store.

FYI: My DH is Systems Admin for military. We have a SECURE network here at home. We have to because of the work he does from home. But, I have no clue what we have for security. That's HIS job. I just know we have ALOT of it...and it annoys me sometimes. lol

So, having AOL doesn't have to be a bad thing. ;)

I have the 9.0 security edition.

I cant find it online either, just the open ride.

What kind of security problems are there with AOL?
