AoA vs POP?

Thinking of taking advantage of the summer discount. AoA is around 160 per night and POP 130.

We have never stayed at either one of these or any of the values. I'm thinking that an AoA little mermaid room would be okay for 5 nights. My granddaughter would love it.

So what you do recommend? and why?
Thanks.

AND AoA rooms are full beds and POP rooms are queen beds .... so depends on how are many in your party. And the pools at AoA are much better.

AoA has regular beds and not the table/pull-down bed?
There are 3 of us. Daughter, granddaughter and me. We spend most of our time in the parks and not too picky about the pool or food at the resort. We do like the sink(s) outside of tub/toilet and kuerigs are nice.
Maybe the skyliner will be working mid August but I won't count on it. We use rideshare a lot.

(Wow, Hopper, your Disney resume' is impressive!

I did a split stay between AOA and POP two weeks ago and much preferred POP. The rooms at Pop were much nicer in my opinion. We stayed in a Little Mermaid rom at AOA and while it was cute, it seemed outdated. It is also a long walk to the main building from the LM rooms. And no coffeemakers in the room at AOA.

I prefer AOA for many reasons, unless you get preferred at Pop there is no guarantee that you won't get a room te same distance to stuff at the LM room. I would pay the extra for AOA.

Thanks, everyone! This trip is still in the "maybe" stage so I will decide soon. We are staying at Disney Springs when we visit in a month so I'm still tweaking those plans.
But seeing the discounts before GE opens has me thinking we could squeeze in one more short trip.
I wish my crystal ball would tell me when the skyliner will open! haha

I would say that your granddaughter will like the MM theme room and resort a LOT more than POP, the AOA theme is great for kids and fun to walk through. Our family does not mind walking so distance is not a factor. FYI; the pull down bed has the exact same mattress as the normal beds, the part we do not like is that when it's down you lose the only table. For us, bed size is very important and we much rather have a queen over a full size bed, but for only $30 difference and it being a pretty short stay we would pick AOA because we have not been there yet and our DDs want to stay there once. I think there is a real good chance that the skyliner will be open August, of course that does not help with the resort choice since they both have access to it.

I chose pop because of queen bed (instead of double), preferred rooms close to the bus/food, and coffee maker in the room.
