We are staying in the Finding Nemo suites in June. One of our kids has allergies so we need to order Ripple milk for him in addition to our regular milk. We also need to keep frozen 2 packs of fish sticks (shopping at garden grocers: 44 fish sticks in a 24.6 oz box). Will the fridge fit 4 or 5 48 oz milk containers and 2 frozen dinners? I see pictures of the fridge online and descriptions that the AOA suites have bigger mini fridges than other values but I don’t see if we can put a couple of half gallons horizontally (I don’t know the depth of the fridge).

I think in the past we had bell services hold some containers for us but I’m not sure if they are allowing that now and would charge $6 each time of delivery.

not a help for this trip but for another you might look at Fort Wilderness cabins as they have a full size refrig. the minis do not have much if any freezer space from what I have seen. i even question being able to keep all the milk you want

We stayed in a 1 bedroom Savanna view room in Kidani in Nov. We prefer the dining options at Jambo so we decided against Kidani this time (only 1 bathroom; pool access). We did like Topolinos so we chose Art of Animation for the ease of traveling to Riviera and Epcot for flower and garden.

I just watched a YouTube video of the Nemo suites (posted 3/10/21 by Max the Magic) that showed the newly renovated rooms with a mini fridge that doesn’t have a freezer section.

Does anyone know if all rooms (suites) have mini fridges with freezers?

Just something to know - my last stay at AOA they didn't have a freezer space at all in the mini fridge. It was more like a mini cooler. That was pre-covid so maybe it's not like that anymore. Or maybe they ran out of the ones with the freezer space and had to replace with something else.

Did you stay in the newly renovated rooms that have tile on the floor?

Looking at some Youtube videos (unfortunately by sites I can’t link to here) they show several renovated AoA suites with freezers as shown above. It may be inconsistent. The 2019-20 AoA refurnishment was soft goods so a nice looking refrigerator in good working order would be unlikely to have been replaced, but something dinged and dented would have been tossed even if it worked well.

I don't think Disney replaced the refrigerators when they renovated rooms. So, some will have freezers and some will not. Regardless, even if there is one they are quite small and will not hold a large box of fish sticks. You're lucky if you can fit an ice cube tray in them.

I contacted Disney and they just told me that they will hold groceries until I arrive (no mention of holding them longer). They also gave me an allergy form for dining at Table services (Which we don’t need) and told me that I could order with Garden Grocers (will be using) or Whole Foods (Amazon prime). So they were not helpful at all.

I think I’m going to have to call resort reservations (last time I called I had to hold for 75 minutes) and add a request for a freezer and keep my fingers crossed. Our Garden grocer order was over $200 so I’m probably going to split it and just pay the $14 delivery twice.

With regards to the fish sticks, we were hoping to make some in the microwave (they tasted fine when we did this at AKL; no time to heat up the oven) the night we go and store the leftovers in a ziploc in the freezer (without the box). The box is 10.25 (the ruler was 12 inches in the picture, so the freezer is slightly wider) inches long but 2 inches tall and 7.5 inches long, so it may fit.

Called to add a request for a fridge with a freezer and the cast member said all fridges in the Nemo suites have a freezer section after reading a fact sheet of what was included in the room. I said I saw some videos/information online that said only some of the rooms had a freezer section and she said that’s not true. I asked if she could add it as a request, but she refused and said I didn’t need to. I didn’t want to argue.

Maybe I’ll try again when I add our flight info. I wish there was some concrete info I could point to.

We are staying in a Nemo suite in 2 weeks, I will try and remember to report back as to how big our freezer is if you like?

That would be extremely helpful. We requested to be in room 5510 to be closer to the skyliner and have a good view of the lake.

remember when you call you are talking to a call center even if answered as your resort. that person may have never been to your resort and they give wrong info many times. would not count on anything you have been told. do not think you are able to request a freezer for sure.

I was planning on cooking one box, storing leftovers for the second day in the fridge and storing another (unboxed) in the freezer. Our kid is an angel when he is full of fish sticks in the morning (found out on our last day when we microwaved fish sticks before checkout instead of throwing them out). I’m willing to pay the $14+5+tip/tax to garden grocers to secure them (vs hours of tantrums).

Since it takes us extremely long to order quick service (1.5-2 hrs) due to the allergies (we always have to go in and wait for the chef and then orders are slow to arrive) we only do QS for lunch/dinner.

If anyone needs the info, the fridge in our room does NOT have a freezer section, however Disney went above and beyond and put a small freezer (the size of the fridge) in our room. The fridge could have held many more half gallons of milk. We didn’t need to do 2 orders.
