I need to stop reading these boards lol. I got an awesome pin a few months ago. I booked the CR magic kingdom view for the end of July. It will be me, DH, DD15, DD13, and DS9. We were very excited UNTIL we saw pictures of the AoA both Finding Nemo and Cars section. We would save just over 200 to switch to the AoA. I am so torn I think there are really cool things about both resorts. What would you do?? Cool themeing, great pool, new Hotel -OR- Magic kingdom view fireworks, monorail, walking path to MK ?????

Is the unit you are staying a room or a suite?
The AoA suites have 2 baths, a kitchenette and 3 sleeping areas. I personally can't imagine staying in a room without 2 baths with 5 people.

the room we have is a standard room, but we have stayed at many places all in one room and one bathroom so that is not that big of deal with our family.

I think AoA looks awesome, but I don't think I could give up the chance to stay at CR. Way too convenient to get to the parks and the view would be too much to resist!:goodvibes.

I am looking forward to a stay in AoA but no way would I give up a CR magic kingdom view to stay at AoA for only $200 in savings.

I would stick with CR!! That place is totally booked for July and you have a room. Stay with it. :goodvibes

you can get a lower price at CR - just give up your MK view. the wings - standard rooms would probably save you more than $200 and still be at CR - walking distance to MK and monorail to Epcot. otherwise bus transportation to DD, AK, Studios

Is this a trick question? :teeth:

I can't possibly compare a Deluxe resort with a MK view to a value resort even if its brand new.:)

Saving $200.00 to switch from CR MK to AoA?! I loved AoA but I'd never do this. MK is a totally different class and style of resort. The worst thing you can do, IMO, is actually do it. There's NO WAY saving $200.00 would ever convince me to make the switch. Stay at CR...I think you'll have a much better experience.

My vote is for CR! MK view are you kidding, why would anyone want to give that up? next trip you can stay at AoA

I agree with all of the CR votes. AofA is nice and brand new and all and it is nice to have the two baths BUT I can't imagine giving up a Deluxe for a Value resort-especiallly with all of the perks CR has to offer.

OK thanks so much! we are going to stay put!

Good choice! We stayed at CR MK view last year for a few days. It was beautiful. But we like a suite/villa setup so we were happy to move to OKW too! Usually the discounts are a higher percentage for deluxe over value. Even though AoA is a value, it is very expensive per night.

Have a great time!

Good choice I would wait a little for AOA based on what I have heard and How could you give up a MK view good choice!

NO!!!!!

We had such a great view from our CRMKV room that we canceled a Le Cellier dinner after it went signature to sit on our balcony and watch the fireworks. Stay, you won't regret it!!!!

Okay, I know the theming at AoA is awesome, but can it really compete with waking up to this every morning?

Or fall asleep to this sight each night.

AoA looks cool. But there is nothing cooler than being able to bypass the masses of people trying to get on buses and the monorail after the park closes, and YOU get to take a leisurely, 5-minute stroll back to your resort. Seriously, there's no Disney trip like one in a MK view room at CR. It's an amazing experience.

This!!

We stayed at CR with a MK view in January and it was amazing. Waking up and having coffee on the balcony and watching MK come to life was so very relaxing. We also spent a large portion of our 8 days at MK, and you can't beat the walk or the monorail ride... one stop and you are home.

You are comparing apples to oranges when comparing these two options--no disrespect to AOA. Your family will fit fine at CR. We are staying there in October in a Bay Lake View Room--family of 5 with children not far off from your children's ages. Stayed there once before and the rooms are quite large--not a family suite but quite large. The location, amenities, etc. are worth staying at the CR. I feel the same about all Deluxe resorts. JMO. Have a great family vacation whatever resort you choose!
