Hello-

Right I am booked at AoA in a LM room with QSFD from Nov 28th-Dec 6th..

I'm really think about upgrade to either POR or Caribbean Resort because you get the DDP...

This is where you all can help me make up my mind :lmao: The price difference is about 900.00 but if I stay at AoA and upgrade my DP it would cost 400.00.

Please HELP me decided :scared1:

Giving me good points to all the above resorts.

TIA

Just want to get this straight in my mind. If you stay at AOA and upgrade to DDP it will cost you $400 more than what you are currently paying. If you upgrade to a mod with free DDP it will cost you $900 more.

You're only asking which mod to pick-- so have you already decided that you will upgrade to a mod even though it will cost $500 more than staying at AOA with the upgraded dining plan?

I would stay put at AoA LM. Almost no one got free dining there! Just upgrade the dining and enjoy the new resort. As for the mod choices, I didn't vote b/c my favorite, POFQ wasn't a choice. We did like POR when we stayed there a few years ago. Can't speak to the others. Good luck!

Opportunity to stay in a new resort while it is still new? I would stay put. BUT if you really want to upgrade I would go with CSR which was on the poll but not one you mentioned in your OP. My second choice is POFQ which wasn't anywhere and my third would be POR because it has recently been remodeled and might be OK. We love everything about CSR, have always received excellent service and had one of our best meals at the Maya Grill -- CSR's table service restaurant.

Without a doubt, I would go with POR. To be fair, the theming of the values just doesn't interest me. I don't like the over the top in your face theming. I really like POR because its very relaxing with serene theming. The pool is good, not quite as good as CSR or CBR, but it has great activities such as Yeeha Bob in the lounge and the boat to DTD. I really didn't like CBR. The layout felt awkward and its huge and I didn't care for the food court. POR has the best food court on property IMO.

I did put CSR on the poll as an after thought cause it to have a beach feel to it. But I really like CBR. And yes a new resort is tempting thats why I pick it first but now I'm second guess myself lol.

AOA all the way!

lol... I love the look at AoA but CBR or POR has much more to do outside the parks

You have a great point.. Oh the decisions

Correct.... Thats why I can't decide lol.. 900.00 is alot but the pools and more food place and white sand beaches is a big plus..

I haven't totally decided if I want to upgrade to a mod or not..

See that's my major issue is I love the big themes of Values but my DH and I are looking to takes a more laidback appoarch to this trip and the boat rental, sand beaches, and more resort grounds is a big plus..

If you really want a more laid back resort you have to try CSR. The little bar that sits beside the lake, the late night strolls past the fountains, the hammocks by the lake, the marina, everything at CSR is relaxing. That's where I stay when I make a solo trip to WDW for that very reason. But I still think I would take advantage of staying at a new resort, especially a value resort, before it gets beat up by guests.

I love CSR, but as pp's have said, keep AoA with FD. You are one of the few that got it and you are staying at a brand new resort! Why not just pay for a couple TS OOP? It surely will not cost $900 :thumbsup2

As someone who booked FD at Pop but wanted AofA; then switched to CSR, but still wanted AofA - I'd stick with AofA!! Wanna trade? ;) LOL our dates are almost exactly the same, too.

I am still debating to stay at AoA, I think we will in the end and just pay to upgrade to DP. If I were you I would keep calling and check for openings at AoA.. We could have a DIS meet either way :rotfl:

The price difference is exactly why we will not be staying at AoA next year. :(

Once they announced that resort, my family and I were so excited for it.....and then I checked the prices. For us, it would be $1,100 more to stay at the AoA rather than POR and we would only have the Quick Service Dining Plan rather than the Regular Dining Plan (we always go when FD is offered). So.....our minds were made up for us.

Not that that is a bad thing: we love POR. We just wanted to try something new.
