AoA Little Mermaid Room Discounts

We stayed here on free dining right after the resort opened. Now I am seeing that it's excluded from discounts, even the bounceback offers. Has anyone found the Little Mermaid rooms at a discount recently? This trip isn't until Jan. We have AAA, can we at least get that discount?

We were there that same week with free dining! Nobody believes me when I tell them. That being said I have not seen any other discounts for those rooms since

I know, right?!? It was brand spanking new...I wonder if there are AAA discounts though. I don't see it excluded. But the dates I'm looking for aren't until Jan. so I can't look it up yet.

We stayed theremin September 2012 with Free Dining! Same here...people think I am crazy!

I hear they are excluded from the usual discounts, since they have no problem filling the rooms. That said, I got a 15% discount for our Dec. trip by booking through Orbitz and using their discount code. You do have to pay it all up front, but it saved us $200.

I thought they'd at least be included in the room only discounts. But looking at the current offer, they are not.

The reason they gave free dining back then is because that section was not supposed to open until December. When it became clear that it was going to open ahead of schedule, offering FD was the fasted way to fill the rooms. Since then, it has been excluded from just about every Disney deal. As for AAA in January, that is unlikely. AAA and Disney are set to break all ties at the end of this year.

We just changed our reservations after talking to CM who told us there would not be discounts for Mermaid rooms .

I received a free dining offer pin and booked POR, but have been checking to see what else opens up for resorts. AoA has been listed a couple of times as available on and off in the last couple of weeks.

I changed my reservations in 2013 from LM to POP to get FD. I regretted it.
Little Mermaid and AoA are worth not getting any discount. It almost felt like staying at a Mod. I loved everything about that resort. We will be staying there next trip instead of POR. That's our discount!
