AOA & Little Mermaid Distance?

Just returned from a stay in AoA LM room and I do not miss that walk. After walking all day in the parks the walk from the food court to the room seemed so long. We were in building 8 so of course the last building. If we ever stay there again will definitely be a suite. Walk killed us

I found it to be a five minute walk; pleasant if you are well-rested, but not fun if it's pouring and you are carrying food. I felt like we were walking through the high-rest neighborhood in order to arrive at the low-rent area.

It was about a 5 minute walk for us from the LM Ursula building to the lobby/food court.

Which number would be Ursula building?

When I look on the map, building 9 seems closer to the lobby and transportation, then 7... 8 being the furthest of them all.

I don't mind walking a lot. We don't have a car at work and we are used to walk 10 minutes from and to public transportation. But reading most reviews I heard about 5 to 20 minutes and did not know what to think.

We stayed in building 9 last September and it was a 5 minute walk with my two boys who were 3 and 5 at the time. They were fine with the walk, it really was not as bad as any other resort you would stay at. We Have had much further walks at the Caribbean and pops.. The walk is a nice one, lots to look at so it does not seem far in my opinion.. :)

We stayed there in March in Building 8. It was awful, really. I'm fit, no health problems, exercise regularly. But after a day of walking at the parks, getting back to the room was annoying. I guess the worst part was that once we were at the room, it felt like too much trouble to go to the food court or gift shop, so we kind of felt isolated and stranded out in the "middle of nowhere."

Also, there are some ugly sections between the food court and the Lion King buildings (which you must walk through on the way to LM) that are like a desert: no trees, no buildings, no shade. Boring and hot.

We even drove our car to the main building once... That's how bad it was!

I've had some far away rooms at AKL and Pop, but at least the walks there are more pleasant!

Good to know. I requested a building close to transportation and lobby. Hopefully, I'll get this one.

I'll make sure we're not in building 8, then. Thank you!

I stayed in LM a year ago. I am a runner, yet I found it to be a HIKE. So much so that I never refilled my mug other than at meals and we started DRIVING (not *my* idea) to and from the food court.

This!

My sister and I stayed in LM in January and are also runners and very fit and hated the walk. The one day we had a rental car we drove it to breakfast at the food court....

However, by comparison several years ago I stayed at pop in a 90s room and don't remember that walk being bad at all (even though on a map they are about the same) so I guess it's all about perception.

It's about a 5 or so minute walk depending how fast you go. It's not too bad. But at the end of a long day at the parks the walk too us seemed so far.
