Looking for info from those who have stayed at the AoA family suites. How bad/tight would it be for 3 adults and 3 kiddos (8, 6, and 2)? If you stayed with that many in there (I know it CAN sleep 6), did it go okay or did you want to murder each other after a few days?

Thanks!

I am assuming two adults are a couple? Two adults could sleep in the bedroom, with possibly the youngest child. Then the third adult could have one of the beds in the living room, either the pull down bed or the pullout couch. The older two kids could share the other bed. Two full bathrooms are a definite bonus.

I can see it working!

Yep, the biggest issue is that it has only 3 beds so you'll have to figure out where everyone is sleeping and who is willing to share sleeping space. We stayed with 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 little kids. Dh and I had the bedroom, dd15 slept with her little sister, ds14 had the pull-out, and ds8 slept on the couch cushion from the pull-out (this was a Cars suite). This time, we're bringing two camping mattresses for the two younger kids and the two teens will each get one of the beds. I love having the 2 bathrooms and the sink in the kitchenette will be helpful for getting teeth brushed when the bathrooms are in use. We also love having the microwave for warming up pastries that we got the night before as part of our quick service credits. ;)

Two adults in the bedroom with the 2 year old on the floor on the cushions from the sleep sofa, single adult on the murphy bed, 8 and 6 year olds on the sleep sofa -- does that work?

How does the single adult feel about sharing their sleeping space with the kids?
The single adult would be me and I wouldn't have much issue with it. Was thinking we could take an air mattress or something for one of the kids to bunk in the bedroom with their mom and dad. Then the other 2 kids and I would figure out who gets the sofa and who gets the murphy bed.

As for getting 2 rooms, that would be ideal, but if it comes down to being able to go and share the suite or not going then I wanted some information about sharing the suite.

Not enough room in the master bedroom for an air mattress. We stayed in Finding Nemo Suite in July. It was crowded in my opinion with just 4 adults. Once all of the beds are pulled out...sofa and wall bed, it takes up more than half the living area...and then you have to move the chairs. Go with 2 rooms at POP or something would be what I do next time.

Once again, it is just my opinion.

Everyone travels different with different needs for space. For us, yes we absolutely would be very comfortable in the suites and we are 5 adults. I think it can work if the 2 year old is in a pack n play or air mattress or using the sofa cushions (we've done that). The bathrooms are very large and the living space is roomy. When you are sleeping you don't need all that floor space; when you get up and put up the beds you will find plenty of space. Think about how YOU travel, not how others travel .... do you think you can make it work?

4 of the other 5 just stayed in the suites last month and LOVED them which is why that is the main choice as to where to stay. They were there with 2 other adults (so a group of 6 with 4 adults and 2 kids) and swear there was plenty of room. Since that is where they would want to stay on the next trip, if I chose not to stay with them, I would have to pay for a room all for myself... and pay for the whole thing. Thus why I am considering if we could do the suite.

This! I know not everyone feels the suites are roomy enough for 6 people, but we've had no trouble staying in them with 5 or 6 people on 3 different trips. There are certain situations that I don't think would work well for 6 people in the suites, but there are many situations that work just fine. For 2 of our trips it was DH & I along with our adult son (mid 20's), our 2 teenagers, and our tween. Our adult son didn't join us on one trip. None of our kids sleeps well if they have to share a bed so our tween uses the sofa cushions (wrapped in a sheet) on the floor as a bed. We take a twin-size air mattress for one of the teens. The other teen and the adult son use the beds. The chairs from the table stack so they don't take up much space when not in use (I've seen people say the chairs *don't* stack but we had no problem stacking them in both our LK and Nemo suites. Can't speak for the Cars suite as we've never stayed there). We kept the table and sofa intact during the day and set the air mattress up against the wall between the kitchenette and sofa. We felt there was always plenty of space. I also think there's a good amount of storage space in the room as well -- plenty of shelves and nooks to get the luggage and other supplies out of the way. After numerous trips of needing to get 2 rooms (and always lucking out and getting connecting rooms), we'll take a suite over 2 rooms any day.

If you're comfortable with the arrangements (knowing you'll be sharing the main living space with the kids), then I wouldn't hesitate to stay in a suite.
