Hi! Looking to go to WDW next summer. DH, me, DD who will be 3 and DS who will be 16 months. We will be bringing my mom as well.
Is there enough room in a family suite or not really?
I like the idea of two bathrooms in a family suite. Plus the pull out doesn't take up the living space. DH likes the kitchen aspect of renting points in a one bedroom at AKL. Plus its deluxe. They end up pretty close on price. I'm concerned both will be too small for us.
Any thoughts or better alternatives?
Thanks!!!!!!

If you get a 1BR at AKV you would need to book Kidani to get 2 bathrooms but then you wouldn't have easy access to quick service meals. You would get full kitchen, washer/dryer and balcony.

At AoA your mom could use the murphy bed which looks more comfy than a sleep sofa.

I was considering AoA this summer for my family of 5 (DD-14, DS-12, & DD-10) but I ended up booking a 1 bedroom savanah view at Kidani. We bought into DVC last fall but don't have enough points for our entire trip. I decided I wanted to stay at another DVC (I own at BWV) rather than try AoA for extra nights beyond my points. I really wanted that washer/dryer. I am however paying quite a bit more for AKV even with a 35% Bounceback discount than I would have at AoA. That discount works out to be the equivalent of renting points at about $11/point. Be sure you check out what discounts are available before you rent. Some discounts are nearly as good and the terms are better than renting-especially with a 1BR. I think rental saves the most on studios.

I've never stayed at AoA but we did stayed in a ASMu family suite. We really liked the set up of the suite and I think we'd like AoA even more. I think you would have enough room for your party size there.
