Is it crazy to plan a 3-way split stay? It's 2 adults, we're driving, and neither of us has stayed at any of these 3 resorts. Thoughts? TIA!

ETA: we'll be there for 8 nights in October.

My family loves split-stays. We've only done a 3-resort split when we were at WDW for at least 10 days, though. It was a bit more moving than we are use to (usually just pick 2) but if you are a light packer it shouldn't be terrible. All in all, I prefer 2 resorts since it is somewhat of a bother to switch, but that's really subjective. I have a hard time just picking 2 resorts, so there may be another 3-resort stay in our future. ;)

We did BC/AKL/GF once and AKL/DCL/Poly once (not really 3 resorts, but all Disney) and had a great time on both trips. I would suggest trying to move "up" so that your room size and transportation options get better with each move, or you may be disappointed.

The nice thing about your split is that you will have easy access to the MK, Epcot, and DHS.

We did Pop/BC/WL in October and didn't mind it at all. We loved trying the BC, we had never been. We already new we loved WL. Pop was just one night upon arrival.

I do split stays every stay. I pack light and never unpack my bag. It takes me 10 minutes to pack up to move.

If that's your style, go for it. Split stays are very easy.

I've done split stays and while I don't hate them, doing three splits in an eight-night period seems like you would spend a lot of time checking into resorts and packing/unpacking/organizing (even if you pack correctly for the splits, it still takes time to set up the room how you'd like it).

Why not pick the two resorts you'd most like to stay at this time and then plan to spend a meal or an afternoon exploring the third resort during your trip?

Never did a split stay, we like to settle in our resort. Many seem to like them and it is a good way to check out resorts that you never stayed at . You have a MK resort, and an Epcot included so sounds like a win win to me :thumbsup2

Split stays are doable and it just depends on your way of visiting Disney. We personally have done split stays before, but we prefer not to. Ours consisted of one day at BC, several days at All Star Sports and one day at WL. We did not like checking in and out that many times personally and probably won't do it again.

Now BC and WL are both absolutely beautiful!!! Our daughter enjoys both but prefers BC over WL. Whereas DH prefers WL over BC and I'll take either one, but WL is much more laid back and serene in our eyes.

Although AOA does look very interesting, we are looking at WL for our next stay.

So just think about what really interests you as far as theme or location and how you normally tour. We have the once we're in we're settled and prefer to stay that way.

We are doing it for our upcoming trip. AOA/BLT/BWV during 10 days. This is the first doing 3 resorts but it's just DH and I.

We love split stays! With only adults on your trip, I would definitely go with the three resort split. And you have picked great resorts to sample - AoA is fun and then you have 1 in the MK area and 1 in the EP area - PERFECT! I say go for it!

We are doing a three-split - POFQ/AKL/BC, but we will be there for 2.5 weeks.
We did a POR/BC split last year over 13 nights and it was great!
