Is there anywhere to safely leave your luggage while you go to park until your cabin is ready like you can at other resorts??

Yes, the front desk will take care of them for you.

Yes, the front desk will hold them for you. Definately go there first, because you just might be able to check in early too. We arrived on Disney property around 11am, so I went to checkin first just to ask if it might be possible to get a early checkin if our cabin was available. I was hoping to check in an hour or two early, but we were allowed to check in right then. Of course, this will only work if your cabin is available but is worth a try.
