Are you wearing it? I go around looking for my glasses pretty often only to feel like an idiot when I realize I'm wearing them already.
DD who is 1 year-old was walking around the house last week while eating fruit cocktail out of a plastic bowl (leftover from lunch) while I was DISing. I thought to myself, "I had better take that away from her before she spills it or loses it," but I failed to do so. Later in the day, I realized that the bowl was missing. DS4 and I searched the entire house twice (every cabinet, drawer, closet, etc., etc.) looking for the bowl of fruit before we finally gave up. I resigned myself to the fact that if I waited long enough, we would be able to find the bowl either from following a long line of ants or from following a noxious smell. Miraculously, DS4 found the bowl only 4 days later sitting in a closet where DD1 must have placed it -- it was only moderately fuzzy.
My advice: Picking a different shirt to wear as a back-up may help you to relax enough that you find the shirt you really want to wear. (Also, picking up clutter a bit as you look might help keep things from getting lost. Trust me, in high school I actually had to carve a path to get from my door to my bed.)
Good Luck!
