I don't put any presents under the tree until after DS goes to bed on Christmas Eve. The only thing under our tree before Christmas is our cat. :cat:

I was just wondering because DH's brother told his son (3) not to touch anything under our tree when he came over the other day. I said there was nothing to worry about because there wasn't anything there. I think he thought that was strange.

SOme gifts are...but I had to take away some because our bulldog kept trying to open them!

Nope, not even the gifts sent from family. I like to arrange it all under the tree on Christmas eve.

A candle we're regifting to a family friend, and part of DSIL's Xmas swap present (the other part needs to be rewrapped, but let's not go there :furious: :furious: )

A dog bed. One of my beagles keeps moving her bed under it :sad2:

About 95% of the presents are under our tree. We had to remove my dog's present because he found it and tried to open it early. :rotfl:

Nope, they won't fit! Our tree is too low to the ground so I just left them all upstairs once I finished wrapping them. We cart almost all of them to someone else's house to open, anyways, so I'm just leaving them there.

I put the gifts from us to each other under the tree once the tree is put up. But the Santa presents remain hidden untill the big guy come to visit! :thumbsup2 I would feel wierd to have an empty tree.

just some decorative stuff that goes there every year....plush stuff, a pretty set of decorative boxes, things like that.....a couple things under each tree

presents go out Xmas eve

Our fake tree was too low as well - until we got the bright idea to just not put the last row of branches on. That gives us more room for presents. :thumbsup2

HOWEVER, we forget every year and start at the bottom putting branches on and wonder why we run out at the top....... :sad2:

Right now we have a bunch of unwrapped toys under the tree - we are going away for Christmas so the kids have already opened their gifts from the other side of the family.

The presents from my in laws are under there.

The gifts under out tree are ones we will be giving out before Christmas (teacher's gifts, niece & nephew, etc) The gifts for us will be put there on Christmas Eve after the kids go to bed. It's so nice for them to wake up and be surprised!

Nope. We tried putting the gifts to the family under the tree (DS is 3 & understands those are for the family, not for him), but our 4 month old Great Dane kept opening them. :rotfl:

Santa brings all the rest of the presents on Christmas Eve after everyone is asleep. :thumbsup2

All of our presents are under the tree. I'd have no place to store them otherwise. :)

Nothing under our tree. Our chihuahua apparently thought it was OK to pee on the presents last year. We learned our lesson. Christmas Eve they'll go under.

Everything is wrapped and under the tree now, except what Santa will bring, of course.

We have a train set that we set up under our tree. This year I made a whole Christmas village scene under the tree, with the train running around it. It's beautiful, but it just occurred to me that on Christmas Eve, when I bring out the gifts, I'll have no place to put them.... OOPS! :rotfl: I guess I'll just put them around the tree!

I agree. That's my best memory of Christmas as a little kid. I loved sneaking out to the livingroom really early in the morning and looking at all the pretty wrapped presents that Santa brought. I would just sit there and stare at them in awe. :goodvibes
