Anything special on Mother's Day?

Amazingly, even though I researched and planned every detail of this trip (woo hoo 100 days!!!) it somehow escaped me that we cruise May 7th and Mother's Day is May 8th! We will be traveling with my MIL and I wondered if they plan anything special for Mother's Day at all?
She deserves major kudos as she is keeping our 2 kids with her in her cabin all week.

We went Mothers' Day in 2003! Loooonnnngggg time ago but I know they had flower pins things (same they give out at DLR) and special DCL Mothers' Day pins on sale which was very cool.

I am not sure what changed, but I am sure you will have a blast!

I was on the 2003 Magic cruise too! I remember cakes outside of the restaurant and maybe a rose? I actually spent most of my dinner in the Health Center with my daughter so I had a glass of champagne and a sundae for dinner when I finally made it to the dining room (we paid for the champagne, they thought I could use a drink by then).

AWWWW!!! I was on the Wonder, our first disney cruise as a family and it changed us forever! Going on our fifth cruise soon!

I was on Mother's Day in 2010 and the only thing I noticed was a nice decorated cake in the restaurant. Just a big one near the entrance of the restaurant. Other than that, I didn't notice anything extra dedicated for Mother's day.

I'm kind of bummed. We're on the Dream and we disembark on Mother's Day. I mean, what kind of Mother's Day gift is THAT!?!?!

We embarked on Mothers Day last year (2010) and I don't recall anything specifically done by DCL to recognize the day. I certainly would've noticed since it was our 8th DCL and I have 3 kids.......

I have cruised on Mother's Day twice with DCL and never noticed anything 'different.' But it was still very special to me

I'm not cruising with mom, just my DH and kids.....I guess I'll just wait and see, maybe my DH will remember.

DS and I have sailed every Father's Day since 2005. As for the Dad's, we get a towel animal in the shape of a tuxedo and the chocolates in our stateroom have "Happy Father's Day" wrappers. That's pretty much it...

Hi Gang! I'm also on this Cruise with DH and DD and was also excited to realize that Mother's Day was during it. Honestly, there's no better Mother's Day gift for me than a vaca with Mickey and the gang!
