Anything impacted b y only 1/3 in our group is using a magic band?

Just wondering if it will make it harder to get reservations for our whole group or anything like that. Son loves technology...no need for my husband and I to pay though we have phones and apple watches. We are less than a week out and I am way late researching...I tried to find a thread on this but failed to. THANKS!

The key to Disney and groups is the connection in the MDE accounts - nothing to do with Magic Bands specifically. If each person has an MDE account, everything else feeds from that. The Magic Bands connect through MDE, the phones connect through MDE, the room reservations are tied to MDE, park reservations are tied to MDE, Genie+/LL are tied to MDE, room charging is tied to MDE, etc. Where the MBs help are easy entry to the parks, easy tap for LL - but you can also do that through your phone or a separate card you can get from guest services. But getting reservations will not be harder based on who has MBs.

Thank you! I thought I read something about 1 person could make the Genie reservations for all, unless someone was using the Magic Band, but I may have been wrong. We all have the app and are linked in MDE.

The Magic Band isn't all that different from using your phone or your watch. It's just a window to your MDE. If you're linked in MDE, you should be good to go for Genie+ and LL reservations. Have a great trip!

Thanks for the reply! It's our youngest kid's last Spring Break and we are on a TIGHT budget but are so excited.

They did have issues with the MagicMobile earlier this week though, so I'd grab some plastic cards just in case....

As has been answered you can use any media you like for admission and LL they are just "keys" to the MDE account.

However, imho the phone/watch option can be glitchy and awkward so as another pp suggested ask for a plastic card in case you also find the phone media awkward to use
