DH really wanted to eat there. It will be our last dinner at WDW and I haven't seen many good reviews of it, anyone?????

I loved it omg was it good. They have this cheese plate for an appitizer and its so good i forget what cheese they give u but u get this stuff called onion jam omg is it good. I had the bangers and they were fantastic. U have to like british pub food to like rose and crown but i found it to be very good.

They have this mushroom appetizer that is really, really good. :)

Oh heck yes! We loved the fish & chips and the shepherd's pie. . .ooh and try the fruit & cheese plate (with an awesome onion jam) for an appetizer. . .I can't wait to eat there again in December! :cool1:

LOVE IT.

Its pretty close to an authentic British Pub food, crowded bar, etc. We loved it so much and the food was really good, bangers and mash rock as do the staple Fish and Chips (and I'm not a huge fan of fried fish, but they definately had me hooked).

The cheese plate as mentioned above is great too. I love Stilton blue, so its a great treat to get it on a cheese plate!

A+ excellent food!! We had bangers and mash and shepards pie and had no complaints! Made resv's to go back this october.

We enjoy eating at Rose & Crown on just about every trip. we ate there this past December and enjoyed it again. I had the fish and steak and it was by far the best steak of the trip.

The only thing I would say that is good about the Rose and Crown is the view of Illuminations (if you are lucky enough to get a patio table).

I found the service to be ok but the food was mediocre at best.

We have been 4 times now over the space of 8 years, in the hope that it would get better ,but unfortunately it didn't so we won't be eating there again.

Sorry but I wouldn't recommend a meal there.

The beer is the best thing about the place. Food is mediocre and service is just o.k. If you're not travelling with kids, I recommend the pub side. It's a more lively atmosphere.

It was the best meal of our January 2007 trip....Roasted Mushrooms were wonderful for the app....had the Steak & Fish for dinner....fish was good but small portion...steak was great.....dessert was warm apple crumble I believe and it was really yummy.

Our service was great and we got a seat out on the patio for illuminations, which was more magic than we expected.

Everyone needs to try it for themselves....you will find one negative for each positive.....its worth taking the chance!

We actually love the Rose & Crown.....reminds husband of home. :cool1: The cheese plate is my favorite! Currently the cheese plate has Irish Cheddar, Mushroom Brie, and Stilton on puff pastry. It's also served with grapes, onion jam, and candied walnuts! YUM! I can make a meal out of it. The bangers and mash are very good as well. I was never impressed with the Chicken Pasty, but loved the Ploughman's Lunch salad -- especially when they still had the sage cheese.

We enjoy the pub. It is lots of fun if you don't have kids to worry about. $$$, but fun. ;)

The potato and leek soup is wonderful! We enjoy the rest of the menu, but the reason R&C is on our "must do" list is that delicious soup. :cloud9:

Beer was served at the appropriately temperature, apps were pretty good, view is pretty. Our server was actually quite attentive and funny, but that is only based on 1 experience there. I did not like the ploughman's salad, FIL liked his fish and chips (didn't look great to me, but he liked it), DW liked some tart thing she got.
We ate here after the 1/2 marathon last year, so i really didn't may much attention past the beer! :goodvibes

We have eaten there numerous times and will be eating there again this year with friends who are traveling with us for the first time this year. We have always had excellent service and good food. DH loves the beer sampler and the bangers & mash and I have always enjoyed the fish and chips and the cheese platter.

Is there any difference between the Fish & Chips that you get inside the restaurant vs the stuff you can buy at the little hut just up the street? Besides the price that is? Per Allears it's $15 at the restaurant and $8 at the hut. The hut we got 2 pieces of fish and a ton of chips for $8. We ate at the patio to the side of the hut....not right on the water, but you could probably still see the show right?

My husband enjoyed the steak & fish and I loved the Bangers & Mash. And, the best part, is the Warm Apple Crumble! Yum!!! :thumbsup2

We are going for the 2nd time in Aug.
We loved it!! Ds 6 had a great time!! Dh loved the beer!
