anyone get a pin for october....or hopefully a disney discount.....:surfweb:

I am waiting too. I have had to call a couple times to tweak things on our reservation and I ask about any pins for Oct and they always tell me to be patient that most likely something will be released.

We're also keeping fingers, legs, toes & eyes crossed for FD or even resort discount pin. We've lucked into FD the last 2 years. Of course last year it was down to the wire & we got the email about 1 month before our trip. Nothing like cutting it close!

We too are hoping for something for OCT! Hopefully they will either release a deal or send some pins our way for then because I am wanting to book asap ;)

40 percent would be great for us this time as it's just my Sis and I going down in October...and probably the baby too ;)

I got my pin for October 2011 in January of 2011 for 40% off. The pin expired the end of February 2011

Has anyone gotten anything yet? Should I be doing something special to hope for a pin? We dont have even any specials yet for our month... I am getting ANXIOUS!!! lol

We too are waiting for some sort of discount to come out for October. Why do they take so long??

Helping a family member plan a trip for October for her 5 yr old twins' b-day. Hoping to find something out for her :goodvibes.

We're going to POR Oct. 5-11..hoping for free dining! My sister did some research and saw where alot of times it is released in July or August. We are booked and with our family of 5, I think I figured it would save us about $750!

Were having a DFTW on 10-20-11, and then on to WDW 10-21-11, and on To Universal on 10-22-11. My family members would love to save money. I hope I can get free Dining or a room discount for them.

I booked a long weekend trip for DH and myself the other day. I usually just pay the whole trip off when I book, putting it on my Disney Visa. The CM told me "Are you sure you want to pay it all now? Why not just put the deposit down, that way if an offer comes out you won't have to worry about getting a refund, you will just pay the discounted price." She was VERY adamant about my NOT paying it right now. So that tells me something will be coming for sure. I took her advice, and now I will just wait to see!

That's really good news b/c when I had called earlier in the year and asked the CM told me that they were not going to be releasing any discounts for October b/c F&W brought in enough people that they didn't have to offer discounts. So, from some of the responses on this thread it looks like they may be changing their story.

I was at WDW earlier this year and got a great 35% off Mod Bounceback, but FD would save our family of 5 even more money.

Good luck to everyone!

I looked on Mousesavers.com and did a search on their site for "past Disney discounts".....in 2009 and 2010, the discounts for October thru Dec didn't come out until the middle of August. ( If you have some time you might want to check it out.)

My Mom told me while she was watching CNN this past weekend, they reported that 61% of Americans say they are NOT taking a vacation this year.
If there is NOT a discount for October, unfortunately, we will not be able to go this year......the price of the transportation to get there from Wisconsin has really gone up, whether it be flying or driving. That is hurting our budget much more than the price of park tickets going up a bit. The price of the trip insurance thru Disney also went up...it is now $69.99 per adult.

So, don't be discouraged. We may have to wait until mid-August once again for the discount but it's worth waiting for. :beach:

^^ Thanks for contributing. I really do hope they post October promos well before then, but I'm patient and can wait it out.

Joining in, and waiting patiently here too. I called to price a package about two weeks ago. I was unsure if I wanted to book the package I was pricing, so the rep suggested that I just pay the $200 deposit. He then said "That way, you can apply any discounts received later." So I asked if there was going to be one, and he said, "Well, let's just say that you should keep your eyes peeled." LOL. I hope that means that he knows something that's coming!! =)
