We are going to DL in May, our 3rd time in 12 months (what can I say, we're suckers for Disney) :yay: We will be there for almost a week & also doing Legoland this time. Where else can we go with our DD4? We have done Sea World last time & I don't think that USH is kid friendly for my 4 year old. Any ideas on what else we could do & see???

There is also Knotts Berry Farm. I haven't been there in decades though, so can't tell you what it's like anymore. Assuming they still have Snoopy and the gang?? Then there is also the San Diego Zoo too.

We'll be doing USH this time, but our son will be 10 then. I agree probably not so good for 4 year olds.

we have two other boards devoted to this topic, they are in the drop down box right under this board....happy reading.

Magic Mountain but it's not *close* you do have to drive yourself and not take a taxi. What about the Wild Animal Park in San Diego? Or the Zoo there? They are both really neat. La Brea tar pits maybe? I've never done that so I don't know for sure. When you get to your hotel there are brochures by the dozens showing other activities, just check them out and plan from there.

Not sure where you are traveling from or mode of travel, however, the beaches can't be beat. Local to Disneyland I recommend Newport. There is a boardwalk type fun zone at Balboa Island also. Assuming you have a car. If you like to venture out the beaches in San Diego are great also. If going to Legoland those beaches near Carlsbad and Del Mar are nice.

Knott's Berry Farm in not far away, in fact, you can see it from Paradise Pier if you are on an upper floor facing West. I have not been there in decades either so cannot give any specifics.

Enjoy your trip!!

I would suggest either the San Diego Zoo, or the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Both are great for kids of all ages. The zoo is in Balboa park and there is also a carousel and small train for kids to ride.

I forgot, the Animal Park also has a wild animal carousel inside, too. There's an extra charge for it, but you can buy an all day wrist band.

Los Angeles Zoo
Long Beach Aquarium
San Diego Zoo
San Diego Wild Animal Park
Natural History Museum (Los Angeles)
the beach, I highly recommend Newport Beach or Laguna Beach
