Vet discovered heart murmur in my 11-year old dog at her last yearly check-up. Had an ultrasound done and she has a valve that does not close all the way, causing regurgitation of blood back into her heart chamber. She is now on Vetmedin (to the tune of about $60/month 
). My vet said that this was a fairly new drug that had produced some great results in prolonging life. Just wondered if anyone else has a dog that is taking this and what negative effects, if any (besides the cost!), you might have observed.
