we hit the parks at night and so have never even seen a dream cast member. Has anyone won anything outside of the parks? At your resort or DTD?

Yes in DTD. Sorry can't remember the name of the shop, Art of Disney?.

DD was looking at postcards and CM told her to choose any postcard, write it and they would post it for her! She chose a magnetic one and sent it to herself lol

The CMs were so relieved that someone took them up on their offer - they had had lost of refusals that day

That is one of the coolest YOMD stories I have heard. Reminds me of the looks we get when we try to give away a FastPass. And my DS just got back from Winter Park awsome place isn't it.

Somebody - a relatively young girl, maybe ten? - won a $500 shopping spree at World of Disney by being the first person to sit on a certain bench at/after a certain time.

We were talking to a(n off-duty) Dream Team member at MNSSHP last year, and asked him what his favorite prize award was. I don't remember the prize, but it was given to someone at Disney's West Side who was window shopping while his wife filled out a job application - similar to the above, this person was the first one in a specified place at/after the time determined by the prize-awarding computer.

And there's a RUMOR that one of the DVC memberships was won at Downtown Disney; I don't know how true that is, or if it was in Floride or California.

There are many, many, many Magical Moments granted by Cast Members at their option, so time/location plays no part.

The actual Year of a Million Dreams prizes are awarded at only Epcot, MK, AK, DHS, DL, DCA, either Downtown Disney location, or to mail-in entries.

Oh that is brilliant. Note to self.....Just shows that taking time to stop and smell the roses instead of rushing about really does pay off.

No Kae that is the first time we have been. it does look wonderful in the summer though - I keep looking at the Winter Park website lol.....nearly as obsessed with it as I am with WDW stuff....only nearly though

We were getting off the bus and the bus driver told us to hold on for a minute. He got off the bus, then the dream team showed up and rolled out a red carpet for my DD5 (she was dressed as cinderella). As she walked upon it, they proclaimed her Little Princess of the Day and gave her a certificate,a wand and took her picture....it was too cute!

My parents won the Illuminations Fireworks Cruise as they got off the boat from Boardwalk to Beach Club.

My DD2 was given a Baby Princess (forget which one!) pin at the DVC check in desk.

We won a Treasure Quest Magical Moment at Disney Quest just the other day. It was a lot of fun and we got to do 3 of the most popular games without a wait, found the treasure and got to take home a bag full of pirate booty and we each got to choose a pin from a cm's lanyard. Quite a surprise and we didn't find out it was a Moment until the end.

One of the teachers at the school where I work sent her daughter to Disney World with her aunt and kids. She sat on a bench at DTD and won a trip to Paris. They went last summer!

Add Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and Disney's Wide World of Sports and you would be correct. Actual prizes as part of the sweepstakes are awarded at all parks (including water parks), Downtown Disney, DWWS, and by mail-in entry. I dont think the DVC membership was won at Downtown Disney. I believe it went down at Epcot.

I do know that an Adventures by Disney trip was awarded at Downtown Disney. And I heard about that $500 shopping spree that was awarded there to the little girl.

Things done for you by cast members are not official prizes but rather magical moments (which doesnt make them any less special - they are just not part of the sweepstakes).
