Anyone with Buy.com experience?

I found an offer for a cell phone at buy.com. The after rebate price is $25. DH just purchased this phone from nextel with an after rebate price of $149. The cellular service would cost me the same as DH's plan. Buy.com is offering an second rebate of $250.00. Does anyone have experience with this company? Any problems? Please be brutally honest.

I have used them several times for CDs, DVDs and small computer equipment and have never had a problem. Very fast and efficient.

I've bought many books from them. The prices have always been cheaper than Amazon or Barnes & Noble.com. I have never had even the slightest problem with them.

Another GREAT website is overstock.com. No matter how much you buy, shipping is a flat rate of $3.95 (I think--might be $2.95). Both are very efficent and easy to work with.

Well, I worked up the nerve to hit the checkout button after speaking to a buy.com rep. I ws concerned because motorola & buy.com both wanted the upc code from the box. buy.com rep indicated that buy.com would accept a photocopy of the upc. I was offered $10 for completing a survey. However, the fine print indicated that I was signing up for buyer protection or some other monthly fee. I passed. My new cell phone should be here in 7-10 days.

I have used both www.buy.com and www.ecost.com , both very similar, and both excellent service and prices. I always check them when I buy something. Another little hint is to access those, plus many others, through www.ebates.com . Very easy to use, like free money, cash in the mail, every quarter.
