I know there are alot with Crohn's Diesease on the Disboards, but anyone with active Ulcerative Colits?
Are you able to go to work everyday, and how do you get through the day?
Any "accidents"? Just part days?
Does Lialda give you terrible headaches?
Does it help control your UC?

I don't have any experience of dealing with active ulcerative colitis but wanted to send you a

Hope things improve for you very soon, it sounds like it must be very hard to manage this illness.

I have active colitis. As far as work goes, I'm currently unemployed (not by choice, I'm actively looking for a job).

I'm not on the medication you mentioned, I've never even heard of it.

I do get really bad migranes like 2-3 times a week, and I take meds for that.

I'm on two different meds for my colitis, one that's an anti-spasmodic and the other controls my really bad GERD.

I've had 3 procedures in the last 2 years for all this.

It's really difficult and it's hard to find people that understand how painful and uncomfortable, and inconvienient (sp?) the condition is.

When I was working I was up front with my employer about it and I made sure I knew where restrooms were at all times. That's actually the first thing I look for when I enter a new place (locate the bathroom).

I wish you luck. If you ever have a question, or wanna talk about it, you can feel free to send me an inbox message here on the DIS. :)
