Anyone with a 05 or 06 Maclaren Techno?

Well, after trying out the Quest and Techno, we've decided to go with the Techno because of the extendable handles (DH is 6'4).

I keep looking online for good deals, and some sites say that there is no difference between the 2 years, and others state that it is now 14.7 lbs. for the 06, instead of 17lbs. for the 05......other sites state that weight for the 06 is also 17lbs....anyone know??? I think at Babiesrus, it stated 14 lbs.

Also, babydealz has the best price, but anyone know anything about their reputation??

Hi,
I just put my 2005 Techno XT on the bathroom scale and it said 14.9 lbs.
I ordered mine a couple of months ago from Allbee baby for $164.99. I was also worried about Babydealz "built-side-by-side" products and didn't want to spend that kind of money on a stroller to find out it was a poorly made knock off.
But perhaps someone else here on the boards has used them and can provide some insight about there merchandise.

I know you asked about where to get the previous year models of Maclarens. I bought a Volo on ebay--brand new but the box was damaged. There are a few sellers there who get the overstocks and messed up boxes of all types of Maclarens. I am thrilled with the price I paid for mine, and it shipped really fast. They come up fairly regularly (or at least they were...I haven't checked since I got mine). Mine was brand new with the tags still attached.

and i love my Techno classic. the extendable handles were the selling point for me too....


LOVE IT. Good choice for a stroller that will last and then re-sell well. Get the 2005 and save the $$
