I'm just curious as to how the crowds and lines are.

It is always hot and crowded in the summer. The worst time is around July4th as far as crowds go, and it stays that way until the third week of August, when a lot of Florida and other Southern schools go back. I know that the closer you get to Labor Day, the less crowded it becomes.

I go to Disney Wold during Labor day week. I use the unofficial guide to Disney and have never once waited in any lines. Its the best time to go.

See everyone says "Go at this time." There are reasons why we are going in July. I start school (I got to college and it is very important not to miss any school) in August, and my brother and sister have school in September (and trust me, my parents don't condone missing school).

How about this. I went Spring Break (March) 2002. How do the crowds compair to then?

We went last June and July. June was not too bad, but we did go the first week. July was a bit more crowded. We ended up skipping a lot of rides because it was just too hot to stand in line with all those people.

We were there last year from July 5-12 and are going back this year from July 11-18....yes it is hot, but it is hot in NJ at that time as well......it was crowded but I found it worse when we went during the Easter break a few years back.....overall I think the extended hours in all the parks make it more attractive since you can balance the day during the hottest part of the day and then go back at night when it is cooler.....

Well, I guess it's been decided we are going in June (24th - 30th or somewhere around there, my dad has to decide). I'm willing to stand the heat, I know its not much different from WNY in the summer (and all I did last year was dehydrate myself by tanning from 10 am to 5/5 pm each day). Plus, don't think I'm weird, but last time I was in Disney, I grew accostumed to their H2O, so I can drink a lot of it.

we went last August through a few days after Labor day. We thought as the previous poster did well most southern schools and colleges are already back to school. Trust me that theory did not seem to hold up.......We were at Magic kingdom on Labor day, Pooh, Peter pan, 65 minutes and those numbers did not go down all day.... haunted mansion 55 minutes, it was grid lock. by noon we had done pirates, and Jungle cruise. And nothing else. We had 3 adults in our party of about 25 melt down completely it was ugly. we split and went back to Beach club sat in the pool and cooled off, heat and temperwise. Went back at night and it was just as bad. Never again will I go in July or August, not even if the trip was free.

We go to WDW every summer--June30 to July6, give or take, and I will never go to the parks on the 4th of July. Even Spring break and Christmas aren't that bad. The other days aren't bad if you go in the mornings and head back to the pool around 2 pm. It's awfully humid, and, besides, it usually rains about 3:30 or so for about 45 minutes. As a teacher, I always go down to Florida on vacations, and each one has their good and bad parts--in the summer, the heat and humidity are definitely the bad parts! If you want to see the firework, and avoid the crowds, you can go to the parking lot at Wilderness Lodge. They set off the fireworks on the other side of the trees, and you can see everything!

Hi there..

I went August 18th to 31st last summer..

It was hot as Hades but the crowds were light and that was great!

Until... labour day weekend (Aug 30-Sep 01) then it was packed and unbearble... 90 minute wait for The Flight of Peter Pan?? I think not! We high tailed it to the pool when we saw the crowds at MK...

So other than the holiday weekend... I recommend the end of August.

>>^..^<<

The crowds for me at the end of June were good. I agree that the 4th crowds were very hard. I don't even think we ddid anything that day, just walked around. I think the crowds are still workable, just take lots of breaks and try to get in the parks early.
