Just finished episode 4. Another awesome show from Netflix! Curious if anyone else is watching or finished watching.
Thanks!

I loved it so much that I watched it again with my 9 year olds. It's been so long since a fairly wholesome horror/sci-fi show or movie has come out. They liked it a lot too.

Not yet.....just finished Orange is the New Black. That one is up next. Hope to start it today or tomorrow.

I just finished episode 5. I think it's really good. They did a lot of research into that era . It really looks like the early 80's. My daughter told me about the show.

That is what I like too. I was an 80's high schooler and it does take me back. Even the music has a retro vibe like early Terminator movies and the original Haloween movie. Minimalist techno suspense. Lol.

Of course, my husband was the one to point out, "That was wrong." When I asked him what he could have possibly seen, it was a Jack In the Box Pez dispenser that wasn't out back then. I knew he'd be the one to catch something. He always is. Pez dispenser discrepancies aside, the show was great. We binge watched it and now we're just waiting for them to announce a new season.

I just finished episode 3 last night and I'm really enjoying it. Does anyone know if the next season is supposed to include the same characters, or if it will be a totally new story?

I haven't heard about a season two yet. I really want the boys(especially the one with the lisp) and El back.

I watched it. It was kind of creepy but interesting. Parts reminded me of the movies of my childhood like Stand by Me, Goonies, E.T. And I forget the name of the movie but it's the one where the kids build a spaceship out of a tilt o whirl. Maybe it's the kids off wandering and finding adventure with no adult supervision. My kids missed out on that.

I saw something on one of these entertainment tv programs and it seemed like Winonna will be back. It was only a brief mention so not too many details.

Eta- I found something but warning it's full of spoilers if you haven't seen all of season 1. Basically they're saying season 2 is not official but Netflix has done further seasons for shows that are less popular so it's pretty much assumed season 2 will happen.

Yeah my poor kids watched it and were like "What??? He knows how to use a gun??? Where are his parents?"

Thanks for the replies about the second season.......not coming back here 'til I finish the series :teleport:. No problem though, I realize it doesn't say "no spoilers". :)

The Explorers, but son was just talking about that one the other day.
I have only watched one episode so far..........not sure about it yet.

We just finished the last episode tonight. We are sci-fi geeks to the core, so we loved it. The 80's theming, cinematography, and acting all stood out to us. We're hooked for season 2 (I'm sure there will be one :o)

Loved it!
Such great casting and acting all around.
As much as I love binge-watching though, I'm always sorry it goes so fast:(

We watched within days of it coming out and we loved it!! I've been thinking about watching it again. The kids are phenomenal young actors, especially El with her facial expressions instead of lines! Love those kids! I was an eighties kid too and we rode our bikes everywhere too. Such flashbacks!

Thanks for recommending it, we just watched the first two episodes and really like it so far

I heard one of the characters say, "Just sayin'" in the first episode, and thought, "that phrase wasn't 'invented' yet"! :)
