Anyone watch Wife Swap last night?

I wanted to smack that British husband. How could someone be so rude? I kept wondering if his wife was going to be angry when she heard what he called the other wife, guess not. He needs to go back where he came from.

He really was a pompous ***. If he stuck his nose any higher in the air, he would have fallen over backwards. I guess having a high IQ doesn't make someone a good human being. I hope he chokes on his organic wheaties.

I watched it!! I think that is his normal self because his wife didn't seem phased at all by the comments. Was she some type of diet expert because the other lady mentioned "clients"?? I bet she will lose some after this episode airs!!

Yes I did watch last night. I have never been so disgusted by someone on tv. That man was truly nasty.

I only saw the last half, but in what I saw I was so impressed with the way the "stupid redneck" handled herself. She showed so much more class than that horrible man! I thought she was quite graceful in a very rough situation.

Yes, my husband and I were absolutely disgusted by him! Completely pompous, and the kids went right along with him and seemed to agree with all he said. Neither of them flinched when he was being rude. The real wife just awkwardly smiled and put up with it. He was pathetic, and it also says a lot about the wife's moral character that she allows him to teach her children to behave in that manner.

If he was truly confident in his own intelligence he would have no need to belittle others in order to make himself feel clever. He was trying to validate his own intelligence and superiority through making another person feel inferior. The man was pathetic, words cannot fully express how loathesome he was. The only way he feels good is by making others feel awful. A truly educated, confident, and cultured person would have no need for any of that. They would just be happy as they are.

The husband of the 'redneck' wife seemed far more intelligent than him. He may not have been nearly as articulate, but he was more intelligent. A lack of education does not make someone an idiot, some very smart people may have never had opportunities for higher education.... but in spite of all the vile british mans educations he was still completely ignorant.

My jaw was on the floor for most of the second half of the episode.
Even at the end when the wife said that they didn't even remember what half the new rules were because they were below them. Education and Money do not equal class. It was nice to see that the Missouri family actually kept up with some of the new rules. Obviously we knew who were the people that did it for a learning experience.

It's such a guilty pleasure.

There have been some real jerks on that show, but I think he was about the most blatant of them. I don't think I heard a positive word out of his mouth. Even if he did feel he had something to offer her in terms of education and fitness, the way he went about it was so incredibly pompous and rude that he could do nothing but turn her away.

I wonder if his wife even knew how rude he had been. Was she shown footage before they filmed the update? It's hard to believe she could put up with that. She seemed to have the same beliefs, but was at least a little more diplomatic about it.

I love what the other Mom said about the state of KY coming to beat him up after seening the show. HE said please don't send thier DSs to come and shoot him (or something similiar) At least he knows he is a jerk.

He was the rudest man I have ever seen on that show. I have watched too many Wife Swaps to count in the last three and a half weeks (I was recovering from surgery, what can I say?!) and he was the worst of them all. I am thinking about sending an email to ABC regarding how rude and degrading his behavior was. I wanted to reach through the screen and smack him.

If he and his wife didn't want to change, why did they sign up? To get more business for his wife? I highly doubt that will happen now after all of the obese comments he made last night.

He was inconsiderate and rude and I pity his poor children for having to grow up with such a miserable man.

That was the first one I have ever actually seen that show, I missed the very end. That british "man" kept sayinng how "their" friends were so well educated and just like them so they probably only hang out with other rich snooty worthless u-no-whats like them. I really doubt that their "friends" will disagree with them at all. Since they are so much better than the rest of the country.

I love Wife Swap , I HATED the last episode. In almost all of them, there is a conflict, some more then others. BUT...I think this man was the most horrible of anybody ever on this show. Sure, I realize they edited to make for good tv. With that in mind, I still think he was the most stupid person they could of put on that show. I know different people on the show put others down. This show, was beyond that. I was angry just watching it. I thought the blog was funny, not in a humorous way. We are suppose to believe he is such this loving husband and father...
Sure maybe he is good to his children, but is this any way to show them how to treat other people. We are all different. He should of showed his children in a nice way, how others are different, not put her down and call her names and degrade her every chance he got.

WOW. I just read that ladys blog that you posted. This woman is EVIL. (The blogger). Thank friggin God I don't live by her. Not only does she defend this guy, claiming that basically this was just edited to make him look bad, but if you continue reading some of her other posts....The woman is out of her mind. She claims to be highly educated AND psychic--from her profile:

She's never been proud to be an American, and she brags about conniving her way into getting a Power of Attorney from the owner of the house next door so she can evict his tennants because she hates them, threatening to have the HOA in the neighborhood foreclose on the property if she doesnt get what she wants from him ( selling the house to her way cheap)

He is a naturalized US citizen (which means he consciously chose to beome a citizen, unlike those of us who were just born here

I don't know that I've ever been actively proud of my country (I was a little kid during the Viet Nam conflict, another time where pride was dubious), but I sure have been ashamed for the last 8 years

The way I got rid of the NFH (neighbor from hell)was to have the attorney tell her that if I even filed a suit for unlawful detainer (the technical term for eviction lawsuit), it would be follow her around for the rest of her life, regardless of the disposition of the suit. It's amazing how fast people can move when they're motivated!

The way I'm hoping to convice the lender to sell to me cheaply is to point out that if they don't, they become liable for the myriad problems on the property, and that the Homeowners' Association can foreclose judicially at any time, which would wipe out their interest entirely.

The "NFH" she claims was just a squatter, paying no rent or utilities (how on earth would she know), and she even resorted to calling CPS on her for leaving her minor child at home unsupervised (doesnt state how old-minor could mean 17!)

She spoke about doing a "palm reading" and as she was "channeling her guides, she said this:

Yesterday, each of them showed up in a sort of light body, all standing in a ring with me. When I asked why, I 'heard' that Obama's inauguration was a big step in humanity's ascension, big shift in our collective consciousness.

Looks like SHE'd be the NFH for me.

I actually had to change the channel about halfway through the episode. I was so dsgusted by the both of them that I came close to breaking my tv His arrogance was too much to handle and as for the "lovely wife" when she made the comment about how she was not really a proud American,she just happened to be born here, I was beyond peeved. How ironic is that,really? Her DH obviously wanted(ok,even the British were probably fed up with him and kicked him out of the country ) to become a US citizen and she is saying she is not proud to be one??? Why not pack up your bags and get the heck out of this uneducated wasteland then?!

My DH absolutely refuses to watch this show and for the first time I truly understand why. I always thought it was rather entertaining to see some of the families on here battling it out, but this was too much.
