Just wondering if anyone has done this to much success. It would make since that you could have a pretty good view from the outside tables.Just wondering for our next trip in November

Shhh! ;) You're publishing one of my very favorite secret places.(it'll just be our secret, ok?) :wizard:

We love to get a late meal and eat out on the balcony area and watch the show. I am a big person, no way I could sit on the cement for any length of time, so sitting in a chair is priceless.

I did this a few months ago and it was OK. My two complaints are that 1) depending where you're sitting there are several large trees that partially block your view of some segments of the show and 2) you cannot hear the audio quite as loudly and clearly as if you were on Main St or elsewhere. The proximity is great though and I think it would have been better if we could have scored one of the tables on the "porch" area where you are slightly more elevated. Overall, it's not bad, and you are certainly more comfortable with tables and chairs than standing. Give it a try and see what you think!

This is what I was looking for- Thanks! When we were there in November, I got really tired, in my spot and waiting, and waiting and waiting. We did have a great view but a very tall guy was in front of us witha kid on HIS shoulders so that was annoying.
What time does the Plaza Inn close?

I'm not sure when Plaza Inn closes, but people were definitely buying food and eating there right up until the fireworks started. My guess is maybe 10pm? Maybe even 11pm. Just one more suggestion for alternate fireworks viewing...at the risk of revealing another good spot, my family and I really like to watch from the Main St train station. There is a pretty big area at the top of the stairs before going into the actual train station and you get a nice view of Main St and the Matterhorn, and can see the fireworks great. The only bad thing is that you miss some of the effects that take place right near and on the castle itself. We usually get some popcorn and grab a spot up there about 30 min before the show. Avoid this spot during the Christmas season as the big Christmas tree in the middle of the town square blocks your view.

Sorry for blowing everbody's secrets! We've done the Train Station but we will be there the weekend that the Holiday season starts. So the tree will be in the way! I think we'll try Plaza Inn. But we've actually only seen the fireworks twice in all of our visits due to ther Santa Anna winds. Keeping my fingers cross for this next trip!

Just make sure when you're scoping out a table that you can see the top of the Matterhorn and the area to the left of the castle, so you can see Tink fly down, and the fireworks in the sky. If you can also see parts of the castle, those will be better seats. :)

When they were doing the "remember" fireworks, I loved watching from the Plaza Inn. However, with the "Magical" fireworks, I was quite disappointed with the view there, it's a much better show from straight on, ie out on Main Street.

I hate when that happens! Or worse, no one is there, and then suddenly their big fat head or their video camera appears in your field of view! It sucks for photos!

That sounds familiar!

Yeah, the fireworks in Magical seem further to the left than RDCT and Xmas fireworks.
