I am usually all for planning (I plan everything and anything!!!), but for some reason, can't seem to get things together this time around. Anyone want to plan out my meals for our long weekend trip for us? We are up for anything, but want to minimize the cost -- so counter service/fast food places are ok for the majority of the trip. Maybe 1 or 2 sit down meals on our first or last days. Here is our info: Just DH and I -- staying at ASMu, will arrive around 10am at our resort on a Friday, which is a non park day -- Saturday, MK -- Sunday, MGM and Monday, non park day and flying home, will depart resort around 5pm. Any and all suggestions are welcome. TIA.

Here's what my plan would be:

Arrival Day on Friday:
Lunch at ASMu food court
Dinner at Earl of Sandwich at DTD followed by dessert from Ghirardelli's
(Or if you get an early start, lunch at Earl of Sandwich and dinner at Wolfgang Puck's cafe)

Magic Kingdom on Saturday:
Breakfast in room or at ASMu food court
Lunch at Tony's Town Square (not much more pricewise than counter service)
Dinner at Cosmic Ray's

MGM on Sunday:
Breakfast in room or at ASMu food court
Lunch at Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club
Dinner at ABC Commisary

Departure Day on Monday:
Breakfast at Boma
Lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express

Friday--Lunch Artist pallet(SSR)--Olivia's(OKW)-(take boat to/fromDTD)spend afternoon at DTD--No recommendation on dinner at DTD--not the fave
Dinner--ASM-rest

Sat-MK--Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's Breakfast
Dinner--late lunch--Cosmic ray's

Sun--MGM--I would breakfast at ASM--late lunch dinner at brown and derby

Mon--Breakfast--Ohana's or Kona cafe---enjoy site seeing
lunch--at beaches and cream
go home

Buffets tend to feed us to well and we do not plan but 1 main meal a day and a snack

:earsgirl: let us know what you deceide!!

I'll give it a go!
Friday- Lunch at resort food court or DTD
Dinner at Ohanas then you can walk on the beach and catch WISHES or the
Saturday-Lunch at the new Noodle Station

Monday-Lunch at Yacht Club Galley

I have been to Disney every year at leaset once a year for the last 25 years and have eaten at some great places and have some good ideas for you.

On Saturday (MK):
Eat lunch at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. Its a big restaurant over by Space Mountain, sort of in the center of that area. It is round and has several choices, its almost food court like in that you have several options, one side has burgers/hot dogs, one side has salads and soups, one side has I think more hot (substantial sandwhiches) and things such as chicken strips, etc. and each side has kid's choices, which if you aren't that hungry, make a good option for adults. I find that even though you are very busy on the go-the heat and hustle/bustle of the day sort of take away my apetite. I like this place because it offers something for everyone and is very reasonably priced. If you sit down in the lower part of the restaurant, there is a free animatronics show. Also-there are large topping bars to fix up your sandwhiches with things like lettuce, tomatos, onions, pickles, mayo, mustard, etc. Tip: Do not pay the extra price for the cheese burger, as you can order the burger plain and use the chese sause on the bar.

For dinner, I would recomend either the Harbor House near Liberty Square. They have chicken strips and fried fish baskets. Or there is a restauant over top of teh Small World that is good too-its basic burgers and sandwhiches. (Unfortunately I don't remember the name and all the restaurants are not listed on teh web site).

Sunday: MGM

The Backlot Express-which is near the Star Wars Ride. Its a simple burgers/chicken/sandwhiches, and has a topping bar similar to the Starlight Cafe (mentioned above).

ABC COmmissary-huge foodcourt with lots of choices.

All of these choices are indoor-counter service places that are reasonably priced. To keep cost down, avoid character dining and places with table/waiter service. The food is just as good at the counter service places.

If you are hopping and can hop over to Epcot, there are lots of international counter choices. Try the Food Fair/Food Pavillion (used to be a Kraft sponsored place, may be Hershey or some other sponsor now) but anyways, its a beautiful big open structured building that is full of tons of options at many different counters in one big building. Its in the future world part.

If you want something a little nicer, but reasonable-try eating at San Angel Inn, in Mexio in Epcot.

Let me know if you have more questions.

On arrival day..lunch at AS food court..the food there is quite good..actually one of the best foodcourts on property.

Dinner..well, lol, hubby and I would hang out by the pool or pool bar and relax all day after traveling so we would eat in the AS food court again. At night they have the carved meats which are quite good.

Saturday..MK Day...
Breakfast at AS food court
Lunch at LTT ( I would make this your sitdown because the lunch menu is fantastic and quite reasonable)
Dinner at the new Noodle Bowl restaurant in Tomorrowland Terrace

Sunday...MGM Day
Breakfast at starring rolls in MGM
Lunch at either the Backlot or commissary depending on your mood
Dinner...which ever you didn't choose at lunch, or you could walk over to the Boardwalk and eat at Big River Brewpub

Monday..going home..no parks
If you aren't sleeping in..then head to DTD for a breakfast sandwich from Earl of Sandwich. They open at 9:30am.
The sandwiches are huge..lol..so I would plan to walk around a shop a bit..before lunch. Plan a later lunch..and eat at House of Blues or Planet Hollywood. Each will be wonderful.

Good luck and have a safe trip!
