Hello, wise planners! I'm thinking myself in circles here and just need someone else's voice to join in with the ones in my head. :crazy2:

We will be arriving at WDW on Saturday, Feb 27. Our flight gets in at 10 am...we'll jump on ME, head to OKW, drop our bags at bell services (assuming our room isn't available), and head to the parks. We'll be there until Wednesday, Mar 3. Our flight that day leaves at 8 pm so we will have until 3:30-ish that day before having to head back to the resort for our ME pickup. Basically, we have three full days and two partial days. We will be using Disney bus or Lyft to get to and from the parks. I realize parks are opening roughly 45 minutes prior to posted opening time and we would like to be there when they open. We'll be taking a Lyft to Speedway for our HS days, as well as Epcot if we rope drop that one, and have breakfast at CR on MK day. I don't know of a work-around for getting to AK so we'll bus it there.

Our family consists of me, DH, and our two DSs, 15 and 13. Highest priority is RotR (no surprise) and spending time in GE since we were last at WDW right after GE opened and spent only a short amount of time exploring. We love Pandora and FoP is a big priority as well. The guys in my group love all the thrill rides and I insist on riding everything else. I've given consideration to skipping Epcot, but the idea of skipping a WDW park gives me anxiety. It feels like someone has told me to leave one of my children behind. Not sure I can do it. Test Track would be a priority there (so factor that into the plan).

So.....if we do all four parks, what would you do? Here's my two options so far but I would love alternatives or suggestions.

Saturday Feb 27 (arriving at 1 pm-ish) - Epcot (open til 7) OR AK (open til 5)
Sunday Feb 28 - HS (open 10-7)
Monday March 1 - MK (open 9-6)
Tuesday March 2 - HS (open 10-7)
Wednesday March 3 (need to leave by 3:30ish) - Epcot (open at 11) OR AK (open at 9)

ALTERNATIVE PLAN to allow for pool time (if the weather cooperates and then heading to DS)

Saturday (arriving at 1 pm-ish) - HS (open til 7)
Sunday Feb 28 - HS (open 10-7)
Monday Mar 1 - AK (open 9-5) then pool and DS
Tuesday Mar 2 - MK (open 9-6)
Wednesday Mar 3 (need to leave by 3:30ish) - Epcot (open at 11)

If we got to HS on Saturday and were in the park by 1 pm, we would try for a RotR BG. I plan to shoot for a RotR BG every morning until we get it. If we don't get it on Sunday, we might swap the HS and MK days. And if we haven't gotten one by Wednesday, we'd chuck going to Epcot for another shot at it.

Anything I'm not considering? Or something that just doesn't make sense? Please let me know. As I said, we haven't been in a year and a half and clearly things are different. I'm grateful for any help you can provide!!

do the parks you like the most trying to fit it all just adds stress we are going down in march we are skipping ak this time

I am enjoying, and also having trouble adjusting to, the lack of concrete plans and being able to change if we want without messing up FPs and ADRs. Makes things so much easier but feels really weird!

I would do option 1 so you have the most chances for a boarding group. It's likely that park hours will be extended, so you can probably get in some pool time by taking an afternoon break on a day or two.

I would make reservations for HS on your AK/Epcot days so you have them just in case. You can always cancel and replace with those two parks later. But if you wait too long, they may be gone and you may end up not having the chance to try for RoTR if you don’t get them on Sunday.

I was already on that one! I have Tuesday reserved for MK, not that I think the days we will be there will be capacity days for MK, but I figured it was better to be safe than sorry. Right now, I have HS all the other days! I need to figure out which rough plan we're going with before we go and make some swaps. Thanks for making sure I had that detail though!!
