I was wondering how the service was with Randy's Mobility. Did they deliver on time? Was the scooter worthy and stable? Any problems?
Any other place to rent from?

We have to rent and ECV for our trip next Sept and trying to get all my ducks in a row. Any info you can give me would be helpful.
Thank You

I have rented from Randy's several times.. Great service , no problems, .. In fact renting a ecv again in Dec.
Have a great trip

All my rentals have been from randy's/ There is an Internet coupon for $10 off aweek rental. The equipment is great, they give a guick rund down on how to operate, how not to leave the key in or turned on to drain battery, to breakdown to transport.

Come to the hotel with it and pick it up. Even when we switched from UNiversal area hotel to a Disney on site one.

I have to admit though, I am going with Scooterama.com this time for the cost. IT is only $25 a day. But I am familar enough with operations that I can pick up and run the scooter without the work out now.

So I hope I am not sorry.Randys equipement has just been so reliable.

Yes, I rented an ECV from Randy's for my friend when she came with me to Disney in May. They were great about it, even when we ended up two days in a row adding an additional day (two additional days total) - that took a very quick phone call and there were no problems about it.

I'd rent from them again if I needed to for any reason.

All of the companies listed in the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of the thread list on this board are ones that DIS posters have consistently recommended (that's why they are there).
The 2 most common ones people report using in the last few years are Randy's and Walker.

We rented from Randy's 2 years ago for my FIL. The scooter was delivered at the time they said it would be and was delivered directly to our room. The person delivering it was very nice and made sure we whatever demonstrations we needed and had all our questions answered before he left. The scooter itself looked almost brand new. We didn't have any problems with it, so we didn't need to call anyone.

I've got a two week reservation with them starting Nov4- they are to deliver at Ft.Wilderness and pick up there. They sure have been nice and helpful in emails and phone calls. I think I got a good price for 2 full weeks also. But I was wondering about that coupon you mentioned on the internet?? do you have a link or address for that?? Maybe I can't use it with the 2week quoted rate but would like to try... thanks! Oh, and I will be making a detailed report with photos (and taking video of assemble/disassemble/vehicle storage) of the whole ECV experience with Randy's and have available after Nov 18.

I will be using Randy's for the first time when we go next month. I was rather pleased with the reservation lady, she seemed very friendly. She told me that all I will need to do is call their delivery number when I reach the Orlando airport and they will meet me at the hotel with the scooter. Pluss the same number is the one I will be using if I have a problem with the scooter.

DisneyMarie,

You won't be disappointed with Scootarama. :thumbsup2 I used them last November and they were excellent. The scooter was like new and the battery lasted all day and evening, no problems ever. I booked them again for our upcoming trip in November.

TweedleDee Thanks for the tip, The cost was so low for the scooterama, I just couldn;t resist.

I do adore Randy's. They take the time and go through everything with the use of scooter. It really is simple. I generally left it intact, except the seat, lay down the handle bar, remove basket. Remeber to turn off to charge, Take key out....Always take key with you when you leave it.

I have never had to charge during the park...but a first day you may want to take a charger incase there is a problem...keep the no. handy and I am sure you will have a replacement swiftly.

With two of us, In fact with the three wheel I could get one end up onto the trunk, then the other end.

I rented a Nissan Sentra and had no problem just reclining the hand rail and placing it in the trunk.
Happy vacationing.

Thanks for the $10 info! Even though I already have my res, I will call in the morning and see if they will give me the 10 especially since I've got a 2 week res. Thanks again!

Grandma used a Randy's scooter on our last trip. We ran it hard and it got a bit bumped around as Grandma learned to drive-never gave us any trouble. They were very punctual and friendly. Gave excellent instructions on operating the ECV.

Recommend-especially for first time drivers

Oops - I made a mistake earlier! I didn't use Randy's - I used Walker! Sorry 'bout that, the names are very similar (a name and then "Mobility").

It was Walker Mobility I used and would recommend. We had no problems, even extending the length of our rental by an extra day twice (two additional days total).

(I was gonna say, why are ppl saying a guy from the place talked to them at Disney?! The Disney CM who retrieved the ECV for us showed my friend how to use it. I wasn't there when she did, but it was clear enough for my friend to understand and the lady was very nice to my friend.)

Hi! I rented from Walker Mobility. I cannot say enough good things! Very helpful on phone, ECV was there when we arrived, lasted MORNING till NIGHT (after being charged at night) and when we left, they came & picked it up. It couldn't have been any easier & it made the trip so enjoyable for me! :) Make sure you read through the disABILITIES posts, you get alot of wonderful information!!!! :thumbsup2
