Anyone used media comp tickets recently?

I have tried calling Disney about this but have received conflicting information. I'm hoping someone here might know the answer. As a media person, I received two single day comp tickets. I was also sent a number to link them to my MDE, which I have done successfully. The PR office tells me I need to go to the will-call office when I arrive and show my media badge and DL to get the tickets, but if they're already linked to my MDE and MBs, don't I already have the tickets? I call Disney, and the CM tells me I don't have to go to will call. Anyone gone through this and has an answer? Thanks.

If you have an actual ticket (Plastic card or Magic Band) and you already linked it to MDE online then technically you should be able to go straight to the park gate and scan your ticket. HOWEVER, even though you already have an actual ticket, since it is a special comp ticket, it sounds like your ticket may require that you validate your credentials with a CM in order to actually activate the ticket, that is probably why the PR office told you to go to will-call first. I would say follow the directions that you were given by the PR office since that is the office that issued your ticket and go to the window to validate your credentials, worst case scenario they will just tell you that the ticket as fine and send you on your way, it is still better than being turned away at the gate and sent to the window.

Sounds a bit like the military tickets--they're really a voucher that you can link to your MB in order to make FPs, but in order to enter a park, you have to "activate" them by going to a ticket window and showing your military ID.
