Anyone used EARLANES for their child?

I am hoping someone our there has some experience with using EARPLANES for your child.

We have a DD6 who has a terrible time in the mountains with her ears popping and hurting. We thought we would try these plugs for our airplane trip to Disney in December. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Yes, I used them for ds when he was 6. I always travel with them. The thing is the pressure only bothers him sometimes not always so not sure if it was just the plugs or if it would not have been an issue anyway One thing for sure, they can't hurt.

Yup, we tried them. Didn't work. DD now takes one psuedaphed (sp?)(decongestant) about an hour or two before we land. She used to have terrible pain, but now with the dicongestant, no problem.

We tried them, but dd took them out before we even took off. But she was younger than your daughter. My DH swears by them. You could try them and also give her a lollipop to suck on.

My kids use them and they work, but we also do the decongestant thing,too.

Here's my experience. I bought the earplanes but found that they would hurt my ears and it was hard to get them in properly (they're a hard rubber, not very flexible). I bought some of those squishy foam earplugs (look like tiny cilinders) and they work just as well with no pain! They're also a lot cheaper which works well for me!

My daughter always uses them. You can get Earplanes for kids so they fit better in the ear. I usually ask the pharmacy to special order them because I never see the kids sizes on the shelf. They are wonderful.

I have bought the kids size ones at WalMart and had the kids use them. Sometimes they seem to work and others the kids are still crying. My DH has ear problems and swears by the decongestant instead.

I never thought of giving a decongestat, I'll try it.
