Anyone used a double umbrella stroller?

I know, there are always tons of stroller q's, but I just keep going back and forth.
I have 2 dd's, 2 1/2 and almost 8 months.
I have a joovy caboose (sit n stand), which I don't think I want take, since it doesn't recline real far for baby, and toddler can't really relax.
So then, I considered taking my big eddie bauer stroller for the baby, reclines, large shade, lots of storage... and just taking along the umbrella stroller for older dd. Figured when she was walking, I could just fold up umbrella stroller an hook it over handle on big stroller.
I have also seen the jeep umbrella double strollers, looks like they recline, and have okay sunshades, but no storage, and are fairly cheap.
I can't put a lot of $ into another stroller, looking to stay under $100, that won't be used often. So I was wondering if anyone has actually used the cheaper double umbrellas and had any luck? TIA!

I just bought the Jeep umbrella stroller for my upcoming trip. I have 2 yr old twins and wanted something relatively light. I have only used it a few times and it is light. I just cant get past the fact that there is NO storage at all. It rides just ok but we are still going to be bringing it. It is our 4th double stroller--my garage if filled with them it seems.

Oh yeah--the sun shade pops off periodically as well. Not the best purchase, but I think it will work for us for this trip. Like you said--it was cheap. We will be taking Disney buses, so it will be easy to carry.

Good luck!

Do you think it reclines well enough that an 8 month old could sleep? Thanks!
Hope you have a great trip!

how well is your little one sitting up? if your young is sitting up pretty good the recline is prob just fine

I suggest going to babies R or some other place and testing them

I have the same stroller and it works great... our trip was with a 14 month old and a 3 year old though... we will take it again this year for ages 2 and 4

I have used that stroller and I have liked it....my kids were 6 and 4 at the time! Worked fine except they kept touching and bugging eachother...not the strollers fault!

The stroller is lightweight and very easy to manage.:goodvibes

A few years ago we bought a double umbrella stroller for a Disney trip. It has since been on several trips and is awesome! It is a Kolcraft, but not the jeep one. The seats recline, there's a storage bag behind each seat, and it folds up so compactly that it's a dream to get on and off buses. I got mine at Kmart for $54. I bought a single one just like it when we had #3princess: I ordered it online through Amazon; they may have the double one too.

We have the jeep one that we bought specifically for our September trip. It's very light when compared to our regular double stroller. At $65 (Babis R Us), it was cheaper to buy the stroller than to rent one at WDW.

We love our jeep umbrella stroller. It doesn't have any storage, but that's what a backpack is for. My kids enjoy the stroller. (They are 4 yrs and 18 months). It was easy enough for me to get the kids and the stroller on and off the bus by myself. We did not have the problem with the sun shade popping off as another person posted. In fact, ours is tough to get on and off. As long as you look at it as an umbrella stroller which reclines, than I'm sure you'll be happy with the purchase.

We have the jeep stroller too. We used it last year and are taking it again this year. One problem we have had is that the foot rest is a little flimsy, so when they push on it, it rubs on the wheels and makes it harder to push. We also found the sun shade to be pretty much worthless and annoying. We took it off and left it at home. I also don't like the lack of storage, but we just tote a backpack and carry it on the handles when we are with the stroller.

Overall, I am pleased with it, especially considering the price. If you go with that one, be sure to tie some ribbon or something on it to make it stand out because there are lots of them there.

we painted the sunshade with our name so we can spot it ina crowd. The good thing about the foot rest rubbing the wheels is when my 3 year old would try and get off the stroller mid roll I knew it was coming

I had the jeep umbrella stroller that I used for my 6 and 3 year old. I just recently got rid of but is was wonderful. Try not to buy the black one for disney b/c it will get very hot. A friend of mine just got one at a second hand store in brand new condition for 35 dollars.

Even though people seem to like the jeep one, it seems a little flimsy to me. I also wish the sunshade was better. Any other suggestions out there?

The trick about an umbrella stroller is you want folds small and lightweight.

My top pick was the aria which weighs like 14lbs... the jeep is the next lightest and weighs like 20 but it folds slightly smaller

the aria is over $100... I think close to $200 and the Jeep is only $75

Black is the only color I have seen it in. But you can roll up the seat stuff and create a pillow and the back is only a thin mesh

I have had mine a year and used it for disney last year on a 12 day trip and it has held up just fine with a 4 and 2 year olds
