Anyone use VOIP for phone service?

I use Vonage and save a ton ($20 - $40) per month.

You need high speed net access from your house (I use cable), and they sell you a start-up kit (router and stuff) and boom, you are up and running.

They have a refer-a-friend deal that if you refer someone, they get a month free and so do you.

I have not had trouble at all and my service with all the "trimmings" (Voice mail, caller id and a bunch of other stuff costs me about $27 total.

I do not work for them or anything, I've just been very satisfied.

I LOVE my VOIP!

We use Packet8 & pay $20.55 a month for unlimited everything (except for international calls, which we don't make anyway).....

On occasion, I have to reboot the phone box, but that's well worth the $120 a month savings......

I'm using Vonage too! I just hooked up Friday and so far I'm loving it. Not drops, no clicks and only a little bit of static when working on the internet and using the phone at the same time. My phone bill last month was $89 and my Vonage bill is going to run me only $27 per month. I have no problem saving $60 a month! Over the course of a year, that's a house payment! So far my satellite dish has not tried to dial out so I don't yet know if that will work (although there are plenty of changes I can make to the setting to get the call out to work). The other thing is my alarm system. I've not yet tied it in, but I think I can make that work as well. There's tons of info on how to make this work at the vonage user forums if anyone else might have the same problem.
