Has anyone used Travelocity or Expedia to book their hotel reservations?

I called RPR, the only rate they have is $199.00 per night water view. They said there were no discount or promo rates. I ask for Ent rate and AAA also, & call a local travel agent, nothing. We really want to stay on property & HRH is booked. Travelocity & Expedia have RPR rooms listed for 129.00 & 159.00. Plus we will need to add a rollaway. Our family of four including two teenagers will be going the middle of October for 5 nights.

What is your experience with the online travel sites?
Have you had any problems adding rollaway, getting a room with the number of beds you need or two rooms together? I don't want to take chances with our vacation, but I would love to save some money.
Thanks, SAM

I found a ent rate at PBH of 150.00 with the help from this board.
But I would still like to know if anyone have used Travelocity or Expedia and what kind of service you received?

we used expedia on a family trip. I had no trouble getting our room (mandated nonsmoking due to asthma) at the Palmer house chicago--at 2:30 in the am after a late train arrival. 3 other expedia bookings went like a charm. did not need more than one room.

I always print the reservation screen, so i have the screen capture of the successful transaction, plus the reservation number, in case of any mixups.

I too have booked with Expedia. I booked our July vacation to WDW through them and everything went well. I printed the sheets from the screen as instructed and took them with us but I didn't need them as the WL had all the information and everything was ready when we checked in. I would use them again.

I have used both Travelocity and Expedia for hotels and never had any problems. Quite often the Expedia special value rates cannot be beat! They do require full payment and are not refundable however. (I have purchased the $5 insurance just in case I have to cancel on a few occasions).

I have used Expedia for many hotels and airfare and never had a problem. The do have some very good prices sometimes. I have also used Travelocity for hotels and not had a problem with them either.

I have used expedia, travelocity, and yahoo travel for several vacations and have never had a problem. I have used Yahoo for airlines, and it is my favorite site! I have also used excite travel (which I beleive is run through expedia). Good Luck! meegs

We have used traveocity many times, in many different states for rooms and flights. We have always had great luck, never any problems.
