Hi there!

We are doing the Premium Pkg in Sept and would like to know if anyone has dined on it yet....were you able to get anything you wanted off the menu, and did you have any problems?

Thanks!

We have used the premium package lots of times, it was the gold plan and then after that something else but it's all the same-for lunch & dinner each person on the plan can order 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 dessert and 1 non alcoholic drink. For breakfast a entree & a side bacon, sauasage etc.. coffee & juice or fruit. No press pots at breakfast-they did away that a few years ago. No bottled water (pellegrino, perrier etc..) they did away with that too. We love this package and for us, because we are golfers, it is a great deal, including unlimted golf with cart, club rental (DH loves this-I bring my own) shoe rental, driving range balls etc... there have been times that a waiter will "work" the plan for us but we never ask we let them take the lead. You will have a great time on this plan but beware you eat alot- so pace yourselves! :flower:

We did the platinum packages in the past which is basicly the same as the new premium packages, DH and I love it, :lovestruc the unlimited water craft rental along with the golf is great, we never had a problem at any resturant, and there are several resturants that you can go to that are not on the other dining plan. We felt that it was worth the $$$$. All of the CM waitstaff was great, and they helped us pick the combination of food items we would have. DH and I usually share meals when we go out, so it was great to sample other things on this package.

We have gone on the Silver Plan before and had always wanted to try the gold, this seems close, I was actually wondering if anyone had gone now that it is the "Premium" pkg and wondered if they had any troubles with it, and if there were any exceptions.
For instance, when we were on the silver plan, you would be able to include an added on Lobster tail with your meal and it was all part of the plan, I was wondering if they still did things like that with the premium.

Thanks!

we went the first week of june on the premium plan. at breakfast you get an entree, juice or milk, and an additional non-alcholic drink (coffee, soda, etc.). at the other meals you get an appetizer, entree, desert, and drink. some places will let you get an additional beverage (i know this happened at le cellier), like coffee with desert, or a milkshake and soda. the restaurants that take it are pretty much (the only add'l one i can think of is bistro de paris) the same as the regular dining except none take 2 credits. as far as addition if it's an upgrade like sirloin to filet at teppanyaki, or listed as an add on it was included. if it was listed seperately, it sometimes wasn't. we ate great and were always full. if you have any more specific questions on premium dining, i'll try to answer them for you.

There are no "credits " on the premium plan -you get three meals a day for the amount of nights in you plan ie: 5 nights = 15 meals-with the exception of Victoria & Alberts there are no resturants you cannot dine at. Every time you eat it counts as a meal-If I go to California Grill or eat at Chef Mickeys, in the plan it's all the same. It includes all resort restaurants, all world showcase restaurants, all AK, MK, MGM & Epcot restaurants, all golf course restaurants, Fultons, portabello yacht club, house of blues and some other DTD ones too, it's all spelled out in the brochure. This is the easiest plan in the world to use. :flower:

you're right you don't get credits per se on the premium plan it is 3 meals per night but i was using the 2 credit statement to compare it to standard dining. but by the way, at your receipt at each meal it says x number of credits remaining. this is how many meals you have left. since its based per night you'll probably have some left even after you check out to use for meals on your last day before you leave.

We are very much looking forward to using it in August. But it is my understanding, from the brochure on the Disney webpage, that it can not be used at any of the places at the Swan or Dolphin. I know we will not get the full advantage of the "unlimited select" recreation, but we will do the best we can. We already have one tour booked, and will use the Cirque tickets (alrady have our seats booked). Other than that, I got the package to see if we can handle the meals. We usually do eat 3 a day, plus snacks (not included in this plan, but who can resist). I just didn't want to have to mess with the whole credit calculations of the regular dining plan. They will probably make money off of us this trip, but if it is sitll available in 2007 when DH and I take our DS (then age 4) and DH's 2 sisters (ages 11 & 13 in 2007) I figure we will come out way ahead. All three eat very well, plus DH is planning on a fishing trip with DS, and it also includes the kiddie play centers/programs. But only time will tell...

It's true, you cannot use the plan at the swan & dolphin, sorry I forgot to mention that. I have got to tell you I don't think you'll be eating too many snacks in between your meals, My DH & I really like to eat but I couldn't even think of a snack while we are there. It's really too much food- Like I said before we take the plan because we are golfers and prefer to eat at the more upscale restaurants ( Citricos, CG, Yachtsman etc..) but I wish they scale back the plan to include only two meals. I like to do breakfast & dinner, then you could have a snack midafternoon :flower: but the other plans don't allow you to eat at the TS resturants(without using 2 meals) we like best and include golf, maybe someday!
