Thinking about using the pre-pay feature of Alamo to save up to 10% on my rental car but one of the conditions is:

Credit card must have a United States billing address

Have any Canadians used this and have there been any issues?

Thank you

I tried to pre-pay this past weekend. It wouldn't accept my 3 digit security number the back of my card (which I know was correct). Now that you mention the U.S. address on the credit card issue, I think that's why I wasn't able to pre-pay also.

I've never used the pre-pay as I've found the Costco and Walmart codes usually give the same discount and also offer an additional free driver. The costco code is 675899 and the Wal-Mart code is 430710.

I've used this three times, and never had a problem using my Canadian Credit card.

Yes I have also used the prepay with no problem but as mentioned above, the costco discount is better and you are not committed if your plans change for any reason.

I agree that sometimes the Costco and Wal-mart codes and using coupons can get you great deals, but on my trip in Oct the best deal I could get for 8 days with Alamo was no codes or coupons and using prepay gave me a grand total of $94 tax and fees included! Just keep trying different combinations of codes and coupons and see what works for you.
