I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Disney Florist ? Do they deliver to the room , do you have to be there , can I make it a surprise ?

I was hoping a gift basket could be in the room waiting for friends when they check in .

Thanks for any help!

Thanks to everyone's input , I'm going to give them a try and then I'll post how things went!

:thumbsup2

I want to add my friends called and were completely surprised and happy. I was happy that they were able to have the item in the room waiting for them. Anyone can deliver flowers to the front desk of any hotel, but I love that you get it into the rooms before they got there!!!!

I'll be saving the Disney Florist info for future use!!!!

You can absolutely use a disney florist for a surprise.

They do a great job too! I am having a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding and had the option of doing things used on that site (the same option you have). My contact in floral is Rosie Carabbia, but I am not sure if she is used only for weddings or not. You can e-mail her though and she can get you to the right place (she does well with responding to e-mail).

Good Luck!

We had a great experience with Disney Florist. We surprised my sister-in-law and her family with a gift from there. The gift wasn't delivered to the room as they checked in early and then spent the day in the parks. When they returned to the desk that night to pick up their room assignment, they were advised they had a delivery. They were surprised and loved it. We sent a bag filled with snacks and drinks. Their two sons (ages 2 & 4) loved it!

We found Disney Florist great to work with and would definitely use them again. :thumbsup2

I also have a question about Disney Florist. My sister, her husband and two teenage daughters will be at WDW for the first time on 12/22. My sister is going away for Christmas because our mother just recently passed and she is trying to make Christmas special for her girls. Since this has been a hard last 5 months and it is their first trip to WDW I want to have something special in their room when they check in. How does Disney Florist work? Will they put together baskets? What would you recommend? Is there someone else I should use? I am open to any suggestions. Please help. Thank you.

Absolutely! What a great idea!

Go to the disney florist site I posted above- if you dont like anything there, and do not want to order from them..
I suggest www.giftsofalifetime.com
I have known many people to buy from them.
Also they do the "personal disney shopper" where they will go out to the parks and get exactly what it is that you want (if you dont see it in one of their packages.

Good luck!

(The disney florist website has their phone number on it- as does Gifts of a Lifetime

My mom was down staying at FW on Mother's Day and I had a basket sent to her.

She absolutely loved it and the lady that I spoke with at Disney Florist was fabulous!! So helpful, and even went to see which items they had in stock for the basket and tagged exactly what I wanted!

I highly recommend them!

I want to thank everyone for your help. I'm going ot order a basket of something and send it to my friends.

I'll let you all know how it worked out when they get home!

I have used the Disney florist twice, once for our honeymoon and this year for our anniversary. The first time they delivered directly to our room. The second we walked into the room, it was waiting on the table. This year it was at the front desk, which didn't make it as special. It was still nice, but I would have preferred to have it in the room already. I don't think this is the florist's doing, but the resort. If, you want to have it in the room, I would call the resort and ask them to put it in the room before your arrival.

The disney florist is great to work with. I have ordered from them several times and it is always wonderful. Last year I sent a basket to my sister's family and there was an item missing. I called them and they bent over backwards to fix it even giving us a free donald charecter in a basket I sent for my son the following month. They only deliver to the desk because your room is not ususally assigned till you arrive. Both times for us it was there after returning from the park that first day.

ENJOY

I just called an placed an order , very helpful phone person and will have the basket at the hotel by 2pm tomorrow . She said if they had a room number available at delivery it would be placed in the room , otherwise it would be at the front desk at check in.

Thanks everyone

I used them for our 25th anniversary dinner at the CG. They even went so far as to pick up some Pooh vases that I purchased on-line at a PI shop. They had the vases and flowers waiting on the table when we arrived. My DW was very surprised.

I would highly recommend them.

I called yesterday and ordered a Christmas tree to be delivered to our room on 12/3 as a surprise for my wife (arriving on 12/2).

The girl I talked to was very courteous and helpful.

I'll let you know how it turns out. :)
