Anyone just back who used the Carlson Wagonlit discount code found on Mousesavers.com? I have a ressie for 5/15-5/19/04 and it gives me a really good deal.

Is anything proof of membership needed? Any coupon? Or is just bringing my National Ressie showing the estimate enough?

Thanks for any help. I'm a nervous Nellie thinking I'll get to the kiosk to check out the car and they're gonna tell me I can't use the code!

Nothing is necessary you will be just fine.

Just used it a couple of weeks ago without any problems!

I just got back. Rented using EA, an Entertainment $20 off coupon and the Carlson Wagonlit code. No problem whatsoever!!!. I rented for 5 days for a total of $124 including taxes and fees. I had to provide my EA card and the Entertainment coupon, but nothing was requested for using the Carlson Wagonlit code.

What is the Carson Wagonlit code? Do you just tell them when you call?

Eljojo- Go to the Mousesavers.com website at:

http://www.mousesavers.com/rentalcar.html

Scroll down the list of the different car agencies and you'll find the codes for National. I used just the Carlson Wagonlit code & got a rate of $118/inc taxes for 4 days in May, but for my sister's rental in June, I was able to combine that code with the 1 free day coupon so now her intermediate car for 4 days is down to $91 - including taxes!

Play around with the codes at the different agencies. And keep checking as mentioned before, these rates can change almost as frequently as airfares!

You dont have to call, just use it online.

Just got back today. Paid $111 for a 4 day rental using the Carlson Code and a entertainment upgrade coupon. Went to the counter as instructed in the confirmation, (only 2 other renters in line in front of me). When I got to the counter, I was told, "OH, you are an Emerald Aisle customer and you reserved a compact and are using a coupon to upgrade to an intermediate. Just go to the lot and pick out your car. Thank you very much. I did as instructed and picked out an Oldsmobile Alero. Plenty of room for two adults. My confirmation did say counter. I was pleased with the rental. Checkout was fast, twenty cars must have pulled into the return lot at the same time. No problems getting out quickly.

I'm doing the exact same thing as "shoes99". I used the Carlson code and the entertainment 2 Car Class Upgrade. My base rate was $125, with taxes a total of $144 for 8 days! I was concerned about the "counter" message on my confirmation, but Shoes99 took care of that for me. (Thanks!!) I was kinda wondering what I'd have to do. This is my first time every renting a car and I'm a little nervous. I have my entertainment coupon and my Emerald Club card, so I should be all set then. ::yes:: I've been trying for 2 months to find a rate that would justify getting a car verus Mears or a Cab. It's only myself and my son, but we want to go to Universal too. We took a cab once to US and it cost $35.00 each way, plus tip. So, I guess $144.00 is justified.

But thank you shoes for posting! I too was concerned about my upgrade ressie not being EA. If i book the economy and use the upgrade my ressie changes to counter for an intermed. so I wasnt sure if I will still be able to use the aisle.

Just to clarify, I went to the intermediate aisle, not the EA for my upgraded rental. I paid for a compact, but used the Entertainment coupon to upgrade to an intermediate. When I went to the counter, they said I could go right to the Intermediate Aisle and pick out my car since my information was already in the computer as an Emerald Aisle member.
