anyone use midway airport in chicago?

i'm flying out of midway for the first time and looking for a limo or car service to the airport, but can't find any for a decent price.

I live up north (but staying at inlaws house nite before we fly to disney from midway) and fly out of O'hare normally. I've called many, but they’re more north based companies, and it's expensive. For example, we pay about $33 to Ohare from Deerfield, but the same companies want 70-80$ to go to Midway - from Brookfield!

I’m assuming there are southern based limo/ car companies that have better rates.

if any of you know of any companies that service Midway please let me know! thanks so much!!

We live about equidistant from the airports and West Suburban Limousine charges us about the same. They have both limos and sedans. We've used them very often over the years and they're dependable. 630-668-9600

We've also used American Taxi a few times in recent years. The cabs vary in condition but we've been pleased with service and the rates are lower. 630-305-0700.

thanks for that -- i called both - Sub limo was $88! but there are 6 of us (2 kids) and American Taxi was unsure whether they could fit us all in a van. they said they 'can't guarantee' that we'd fit! i called 2x but they still couldn't answer how many fit in their vans!

any other suggestions??

Yikes, that's more than we've paid and we're quite a bit further away. Perhaps the rates have gone up or maybe they charge more for suburbs out of their general area.

Did you ask about the rates for American Taxi? Perhaps you could do two if it is reasonable. 6 people plus bags is a lot even if 2 are children.

I almost always fly out of Midway (I'm just about equal distance to either and Midway is my preference), but we always just drive or have a friend drive us.

Have you tried Airport Express though? I know they primarily do the downtown airport shuttles, but I think they also do suburban pick-ups.

Part of the problem is your going from a Suburb to the City...(taxis add meter and half to get us home!) We live near Brookfield and use MDY all the time, so I know what your going though! Some trips it's cheaper for us to drive and Park at the airport!!

I'm about an equal distance between O'Hare and Midway. I use My Chauffeur to either airport. See http://www.mychauffeurchicago.com/

For six people, My Chauffeur will book a private 6-passenger limousine. Keep in mind the the trunks of stretched limos are the same size as the trunks of unstretched Lincoln Towncars -- big, but not unlimited in size.

just found Citi-Suburban Taxi - 1-630-495-5555 - i called and it's $22 from Brookfield to Midway and $8 more for a mini van - FAR cheaper than anywhere else i've checked!
