Anyone use Marriot points for Orlando?

I was just wondering if we could get a great deal at one of teh Marriot resorts using our points???? Maybe Horizons or CH???? We have a 3 and 6 year old. WE would want o travel early Dec or early Feb???? Also...if we use points do they try to get us to go to any timeshare presentations??? just curious? Also how far of a drive are they from the world? 15 min???

I have used our points many times at Marriotts around Disney, we stayed
last year at Horizons and had a great time, and no there wasnt any pressure to sell time shares , I think one phone call when we checked in is all.
We also stayed with points at the Residence Inn in LBV which was great too and close to DTD. 5 min. drive. Horizons is anywhere between 6-15 min drive
to the world depending on traffic.
As far as deals there are not many but somtimes Marriott comes thru so dont wait to long to book once you see one.

I have used my points at Marriott Orlando World Center and JW Marriott Grande Lakes. Both fabulous resorts with plenty for little ones. Grande Lakes has a lazy river pool which is huge and zero entry, lawn chess ping pong tables, and other lawn games as well as golf etc. MOWC has fabulous pool and slide with sand area for little ones and ool volleyball. They both are wonderful places you would like I am sure. World Center is closer to WDW and Grande Lakes is closer to SeaWorld.
