Anyone use earmuffs for noise

My DD (5) hate noisy place and wont wear earplug--- hate how they feel. Has anyone tried earmuffs and if so where did you find child sized ones.

In all honesty I don't think earmuffs would really muffle the noise of fireworks enough to make a difference. Something that may work though are the noise-cancelling head phones. You can get them at electronics stores and even Target has them in their electronics department. They range in price and quality - Bose (the best, IMO) has a pair for $350, but you can get lesser quality ones that may work well enough for under $50 at Target or other electronic stores. I really don't know how well they work for fireworks but I have used them on an airplane and they really do cancel the noise pretty well. I do think that the cheaper ones do not work as well though so you may want to check the store return policy if you decide to buy some and try them out.

My first thought was factory workers have to use noise reducer headphones, can you ask at a Home Depot type store? They may be like safety glasses nowadays...

We use them for my son all the time. My husband has a pair of earmuffs that keep out the sound. They are adjustable, so they fit both my kids. They work so well that my youngest will fall asleep with them on

They shouldn't be too hard to find. Ours are very lightweight, but fit over the ears real snug.

Earmuffs are what allow the rest of our family to enjoy fireworks! DD (9) hates the noise so much that one of us would have to leave with her. DH came home with a pair of foldable earmuffs last 4th of July from Home Depot and they are in the backpack at all times. We also used them on our last trip to WDW in Nov. Now our family can once again enjoy fireworks together.
