Since I am ever on the look out for new Disney tips (already a member of tourguidemike) I came across and e-book for sale on e-bay. The claims are that you will save money and they have special discount codes and if you buy a 4 day hopper ticket through a vendor from their site you'll get 3 days free. There is a ton of positive feedback on ebay but I'd like to hear from a some DIS'ers. Thanks all! :thumbsup2

I can't comment on that particular guide, but I will tell you that over 90% of the Disney information "e-books" for sale on eBay are selling copyrighted material from my site and from other useful (and FREE) web sites like Deb Wills' allearsnet.com and Pete Werner's wdwinfo.com. I'm constantly having to get eBay to shut auctions down for copyright infringement.

Some of the "e-books" on eBay are literally a list of LINKS to various web sites such as my own -- no other information! I have yet to see a single "e-book" sold on eBay that in my opinion had anything truly new, different or original to offer.

Don't waste your money!

Thanks Mary! MouseSavers is on my list of favorites and I check it often, thanks for all you guys do. I guess I'll just continue with the research I love to do anyway and find this info for myself though helpful sites such as Mousesavers, tourguide Mike etc. Thanks for the input

Sounds fishy. How much did it sell for, I wonder?

My eBook is (I believe) the second "real" electronic WDW guidebook (after Todd McCartney's early 1990s work), dating back to 1999. It's been on hold during my 2-year "break" from WDW, but I am now working on catching up on my research and hope to have it ready for late summer - for free, if I can figure out a way to cover my expenses somehow.

Before you buy an independently produced eBook from anyone, you should always insist on getting some sort of evaluation version so that you can be sure it's an original AND up-to-date work, and -of course- to check that it displays properly on your computer.

We have dealt with this person before and she is very...less than reputable. Her feedback is good, but that's because she tells you if you don't leave her a positive feedback she'll leave you a negative. She also has a couple feedback comments that were mutually withdrawn (both parties agreed to remove), which should also be a red flag. When I purchased her guide, it was written in a HUGE font with TONS of pictures of her children, which is why her book appears to be so long. Some of her tips are useful, but most of them are either common sense or require too much work to save the money. I called Disney and they said she is NOT an authorized Disney travel planner and they told me that she should not be selling these tickets at this price and to be wary of purchasing tickets for prices that sound too good to be true.

DH & I saw the same e-bay auction & decided "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!"

We CAN, however, comment on mousesavers.com ........ Mary - WE LOVE YOU MAN!!! We are currently planning our 4th trip to WDW & have used mousesavers every time!!! Mary ..... we truly owe you for all you have done for our little family. We start (and end) almost every day with mousesavers, allearsnet & wdwinfo (as well as DIS). :goodvibes
