I am sure that it is overpriced, BUT, I am just curoius if anyone who has done this or the welcome kit for the kids. My Ds will be turning 3 and he would just be too excited if he went in the room and saw a bunch of presents from Mickey. What exactly is in those boxes? Anyone?

Before this was on option we used the Disney Florist to create some magic for DD. I just called them and told them what I wanted to do....

We had the huge stuffed Mickey delivered with a cake to Garden Grill for dessert after dinner with balloons. DD's eyes about popped out of her head! It was fun to see character Mickey interact with stuffed Mickey and the cake was decent for dessert. (The characters kept hitting dd in the head with the balloon and staring and pointing at stuffed Mickey.)

With Disney the only limit is your imagination! http://www.disneyflorist.com/advanced_search.html?keywords=mickey

I used them and they delivered a small, insulated bag, blue with snacks inside and we used the bag down at pool to hold bottled water, etc....it was not expensive, under 30 if I recall......
Had all ribbon streamers and a tag on it with a message from Mickey and the gang.
It was a huge hit!. Go on the website and look around you'll see many different options, not all are expensive.........

I booked the mickey's grand welcome for my family of 6 including me for my trip july 28th. I got the main package w tons of extras for the whole group. Am a little worried now about fitting everything in suitcases or possible shipping home via post office. I am really excited to see how my kids react to the room when they see it. I am can't wait. :woohoo:

We've used Disney Florist many times over the past 6 years - we've spent a ton! They do good work, and deliver great customer service in that they will substitute anything for you. That being said, they have a limited selection, which in my book, they are totally missing the boat. I shouldn't have to pay extra shipping to have an item shipped from the resort hotel or park to the Disney Florist office for my baskets - I've emailed them about this, and talked with them at length, but they don't do much about it.

All of this being said, we won't be doing Disney Florist much any longer for these reasons. Instead, we just ordered a bunch of stuff off of Disneyshopping.com, and will make up baskets after the kids are asleep - much cheaper and better selection of stuff, such as clothes, books and toys. Even got our autograph books and pens in there too!

Good luck with what you decide - they are great to work with, Tiger
