I would like to know of your experiences with OTC treatments. I've seen a few, but am hesitant to purchase them.

I find using a gentle moisturizer with sunscreen has really reduced my outbreaks. I use Purpose, spf 15. I also use Eucerin Redness Relief facial cleanser. I usually just use warm water to wash my face, but if I've worn makeup or got dirty, I use the Eucerin. It doesn't make my skin any more red.

I use La Therapie redness relief cream and Elemis non-foaming chamomile cleanser and Elemis daytime mositurizer.

Since I started using Steiner products, (thanks to the spa on DCL) there has been a noticeable difference in the redness of my face and how it feels.

You can buy them on-line at timetospa.com

They are expensive, but it is better than taking a pill and works better than the RX cream I tried at one time.

I only use use cetaphil bar soap for my face and hardly ever use anything else.

Rather than wearing sunscreen I wear sunglasses and a big 5" brim hat and avoid midday sun.

If I have to be out midday i wear sunprotective clothing so just need sunscreen on hands.

Neutrogena and Eucerin are the brands i use for suncreen when I do wear it.

Good Luck!
