Anyone use a Flip video camera?

I have a Flip Ultra HD (2nd GEneration) and I love using it in the parks.

We usually take a laptop with us to WDW and are able to download what we shot that day and charge up the camera at the same time.

What I haven't found yet is any display or indicator on this camera to tell me how much battery life I have left and/or when it is fully charged.

I have googled and so far I haven't found anything that helps, anyone got a clue?

Well, I answered my own question. It appears that when you attach the camera to the computer with the USB port, a battery indicator shows up on the display. Unfortunately, when I plug it into my mac laptop, the display is facing down and hugs the table top, so you don't see it. I ended up having to hold my laptop over me head in order to see what the display shows.

I got this HERO cam specificly for sports, it can mount to a hemet and has a case for getting wet, underwater. The picture was great, but it was a really simple camera. Then I got a new camera ,a Nikon S630 it was about the same price as the HERO just under $200 when I bought them. It takes almost as good video and I can zoom it, but then it isn't HD. The pictures are way better.

I just don't want to carry both around anymore even though the HERO is almost minature. I'd now rather use the nikon even when skiing. I only use the HERO if I need to helmet mount it or it's really wet, like rafting in rapids.

I love my little Flip, simple to use, fits in my pocket or in my bag and isn't heavy. I leave the professional shots to my DH. He takes pics of places and things, and I like to take pictures of people. He is the Nikon fan in this family.

My little Flip doesn't have a lot of features, but it does a good job of what it was intended for. I also carry a little Fuji Finepix 100 for my still shots. Both cameras are about as complicated as I wish to deal with and about as much as I am willing to carry. I sure don't claim to be a pro, but the pics I take do bring a lot of smiles of my face and bring back a lot of memories every time I look at them.
