Hey everyone.

I got some great news at work and will be getting a promotion and relocating to our world headquarters. Unfortunately my start date is January 9th, so I need to be there on the 8th. That means no relay run for me.:guilty: I have looked at all flight options and there is just no way for me to do the race.

I partnered up for the race here on the boards and am just looking for someone to take my spot so my partner is not left alone. It is all paid for and I will be there through Saturday the 7th as I am still going to do the half that morning, so I can get you anything you might need to participate (is that good enough code speak for saying my bib...hahaha)

Please let me know if you can help out so she isnt left as a one person relay.

Happy Running!

Uhhh, maybe? :). This will be my first half but I don't seem to have any pain/problems after 11 miles. What time is she hoping for? Is it first or second leg?

not too worried about time.

She is planning on running the first leg, but I can connect the 2 of you if you want and you can discuss.

I am just hoping to find someone to use it and help her out.

My first half was at Disney as well. Amazing moment crossing the finish.

I'll shoot you a PM as well.

Thanks!

Yes, congrats on the job. :)

Coach, the half will be my first ever. I've ran up to 11 miles so far and have felt fine the next day. Do you think I would be ready to do two back to back like this? Should I try 10 Friday & 8 on Saturday this week to see?

I think you are fine.... I think you understand that you may have a little soreness on the second day. I think you will find the Saturday half a little tougher than the front half of the full relay due primarily to the overpasses as you come back home to Epcot.

If you have any nerves about running the back to back, run like you stated, but feel free to cut the second run off at 4-5 miles. All you are looking for is the feeling of running on legs that are a little fatigued. What you will find is that you may feel a little tight for a mile maybe a little longer... Once you are warm the muscle will loosen and you will be good to go.
