Anyone unhappy with Tour Guide Mike?

Cant say anything bad, but since you are considering...WE had the attitude of will this really be helpful because we know a lot and have read everything else under the Disneyworld Sun. The BEST part was his telling you which parks to go to or avoid each day!!! We were there over Labor Day weekend and although it wasnt super crowded, there were still bigger crowds than we had seen before. Following his park advice, we NEVER waited more than 10 minutes for a ride!!! LOVE YOu mIkE!

So go ahead......drink the TGM kool-aid, take your oath of secrecy and shell out your $20 -- I am going to head over to Len Testa & the gang for free and use my $20 to buy some Mickey ears!!!

I agree, the koolaide comment is uncalled for.

With a full refund available even after you get back, where is the downside? You can't get any kind of refund with the UG if you don't like the advice, or if you have a bad vacation based on it.

BOTH are good. But they have different philosophies and focuses. The UG best days are based on historical maxiimum wait times as well as what you call "anecdotal". Mike's best days are integrated with his touring plans/styles. I look at Mike's, trouingplans-dot-com and the UG (as well as many others). I can tell you Mike's advice differs significantly from the UG at times, and for good reason.

As I said, both are good resources. I use them both. But, I use the UG more like I would use an encyclopedia.

I bought it and looked around it. At first it was confusing getting around the website. One thing I did NOT like at all is when it came down to doing ur intenary (sp?) it doesnt list all the restraunts. Only a few. I also didnt like the fact that its only good for 1 trip and once that trip is over you have to buy TGM all over again. I had it for maybe a week, wrote them, told them I wasnt happy with it and they wrote back telling me they issed a refund to my card. A couple days later, the money was back in my checking account.

We are considering subscribing to help plan for our President's week trip . Now there is plenty of praise out there for TGM, but I wanted to hear from the the other side (if there is one). Why were you unhappy? and how difficult was it to get your money back? Thanks.
