we were looking at activites to do with the kids when we drive through SF this summer on our way to anaheim. we're spending a day there and found that we can get a pass for a bay cruise, a ride the ducks tour some fun at the warf and also the aquarium. has anyone used this warf pass before and what was your experience with it?

Hi Mrs Mouse
Another Calgarian here. Thanks for the link.
I think we are going to SF for a week in July and this looks like it could be a good deal.
We've done the duck tour in Seattle & Halifax and loved it.
Now off to check out the other stuff offered (and find out rates to see if this is a deal).

You are very welcome! I went and priced them all out separately too and this is by far the better deal for what you get if you're wanting to do a few of these things!

Have fun planning your trip!

I think we are going to SF for a week in July and this looks like it could be a good deal.

For a week's stay, you might want to look at City Pass. It includes unlimited trolley/bus transportation, and has quite a few more activities that are not just in the Wharf area. We found it to be a good deal for us last summer.

Thanks for the tip Pluto
I will check out the City Pass as well. Also the Go card.
We want to to Santa Cruz & the aquarium in Monterey, 6 Flags and hopefully a ball game. Maybe a tour of a baseball stadium. Hmm wonder if you can tour the Sharks rink. My son would talk about that for weeks.

so many things to do that a week will hardly be long enough.

endy my dd's would love to see the "shark tank" too! Since we're only in the area for 1.5 days we won't be able to do all of that but sounds like a great trip!

Love CityPass - we were in SFO for 4 days in March
We got the CityPass with the Alcatraz option - great deal.
It pays for itself quickly, especially if you use Muni/cable cars which we do.

Can't help with the Wharf pass, sorry.

Thanks for all the tips. I agree with all the info about City pass. it's a good way to go if you have time to use all the options. Next time when we'll be in that area for longer we'll choose it for sure!

One other recommendation - the Segway tour in San Francisco is a BLAST :thumbsup2. Quite a thrill riding one around the hills by the waterfront, up to Coit Tower, and all around that area. Minimum age for it is 12

Well worth the time and $$. The advanced tour takes you down Lombard Street :scared1:.... wish we'd had time for that!
